Hi!
I know, I know: Wizards shouldn't look for damage but rather for battlefield control and Universalist is the worst school ever, but I'm playing it anyway because it fits one concept I would like to play in a short campaign with an underpowered character. So, back to the question:
Are there any feats, spells or other things (like weapons, weapon enchantments...) that would make this ability less useless?
Assuming weapon proficiency (1 level dip Fighter toward Eldritch Knight), I would start with:
-High damage weapon: Earth breaker
-Point Blank Shot & Precise Shot in order to be able to hit
-Deadly Aim and Two-Handed Thrower to add up some damage
Vital Strike would be the ideal feat to maximize damage dealt with a single blow, but it doesn't work because HotA isn't an attack action. Any similar feat that would make HotA slightly competitive with iterative attacks?
