So my friends REALLY want me to play in PFS here in town, so they gave me an Ifrit Boon thing so I can play one of my favorite races (would've loved Tiefling but Diet Devils are great too).
The only problem is that I don't know what to do with it. I'm not much of a power gamer and usually love flavor or humor in my builds (Made a Dancing Drunken Monkey Monk of Many Styles once). I also picked up the new Occult Adventures and really like some of the new stuff. I was considering a Pyrokineticist, there's an Alternative Racial Trait for Ifrits called Fire Starter:
Fire-Starter: Ifrits with this racial trait derive sadistic satisfaction from watching others burn. Anytime the ifrit causes a creature to catch fire, he gains a +1 morale bonus on the next single attack roll, saving throw, skill check, or ability check that he makes in the next round. The ifrit only gains this bonus the first time he causes a particular creature to catch fire; subsequent times the creature catches fire provide no bonus. This racial trait replaces fire affinity.
I figured this mixed in with the Burning Infusion would lead to some nice combos.

I made an ifrit inquisitor with the immolator racial archetype and focused on Intimidate and spamming the Blistering Invective spell: the Fiery Glare race trait lets you always take 10 on Intimidate, you can take an inquisition that lets you use Wisdom for Intimidate so you don't need to pump your Charisma (as well as reroll your Intimidate rolls if you choose to roll instead - alternatively, reroll Diplomacy so you don't need to intimidate in the first place), and if you go for a strength build you can add Intimidating Prowess on top of that.
Alternatively, grab Cha 11, a level of crossblooded Orc/Draconic sorcerer, take the rest of your levels in cleric, choose a deity with the Fire domain, and go to town as a blaster caster.
Admittedly, the Wisdom penalty ifrits get is a pain for both of these builds.
Haven't really read Occult Adventures thoroughly yet, sorry to say, so I can't really help on the kineticist front other than Constitution being a way easier casting stat for an ifrit than Wisdom.

One nice thing about PFS is that the adventures are designed for the average competent party to beat. So you don't have to be a super optimized killing machine. (In fact, since a lot of adventures you have to bring the guy back alive, too much killing can be bad for you.)
Kineticist looks like it could be a lot of fun, but just remember that fire resistance / immunity is distressingly common in pathfinder. So make sure you can do something else if you have to.
Basically, build your character to do one thing well and two more things decently, and you should have a lot of fun.
Also: flagged for move to advice. You will probably get more feedback there. (And more broken builds than you can shake a stick at.) :)

Hi!
I'm Friendly - My friends call me "Fire", Friendly Fire.
I'm an alchemist, and one of a team that are calling our selves The Elemental Alchemists. (Along with a Sylph, an Oread & an Undean).
You can tap my name to look over my (1st level) build.
When I reach 4th level, I will get Blistering Invective and set people on fire in groups!
