Spell Sunder > How do I know I have to use it?

Rules Questions

So, let's say I'm a barbarian and I have this feat.
Spell Sunder
Witch Hunter

The feat is awesome. How do I know the enemy has an ongoing spell effect on himself that I can sunder?

It blows my mind. I mean, yes, if he cast something I could have the Spellcraft guy tell me, but otherwise there is not way to know, right?

No where in Witch hunter or Spell Sunder does it say I KNOW there are magical effects on the enemy I'm about it.

We could rule that I know the enemy is some sort of Magician because I'm noticing is easier to hit him due to Witch Hunter, but that doesn't mean I know he has spell effects on him.

So, how do you guys play this out on your games?

I usally team up with another PC who can cast detect magic or similar spells to let me know.
If you invest in Spellcraft you can set up a readied action to sunder a spell while it's being cast.

If there are other/more/better ways of applying Spell Sunder, I'd be grateful, too, to be told!

Ruyan.
