Can an oracle of battle use the quicken metamagic feat on the spell enlarge person to cast it as a swift action out of a 5th level spell slot?
I've been searching for a ruling on this but the most relevant thread I can find is from 2011 and references a thread that I cannot find to support it anyways. If it can be used, would somebody also be able to point me to a supporting reference too? I'd eventually like to do this in PFS, so the supporting reference is important so I can avoid table variation if possible!
Well, you know the spell, you're a spontaneous caster, and you have the quicken feat. If you're 10th level or above, the answer would be yes. Enlarge Person by itself is perfectly valid for Quickening, Quickening works fine with a spontaneous divine caster, and Enlarge Person is on your list of things you can spontaneously cast. I see no reason why you can't quicken. Are there any specific points that are causing you trouble?
Yeah, since the spell has a casting time of 1 round. On the pfsrd it says something about it being limited to spells of 1 full-round action or less when done spontaneously. Idk if this is referring to a cleric converting a spell to cure, or if it is talking about spontaneous casters in general.
