Wrath of the Righteous: Non-mythic?

I was considering running Wrath, but it seems to emphasis that mythic tiers are essential.

I am not really interested in mythic and was wondering if it was possible to run the campaign without it....and, if so, what chances the PCs would have to survive.

The books themselves have some suggestions on not running mythic rules with them, and it's for the most part, it is "give them extra stuff, really monitor encounter difficulty, and probably don't run book six, or at least the fight against baphomet." Or maybe don't even run the last book at all.

In addition, if your players are fairly competent, they can probably handle the Path without using Mythic.
