So the next itereation of additional resources is out and cohorts and companions page 12 is legal a.k.a the Construct rider, a.k.a all of my childish fantasies come true.

While I originally was going to play a druid, my childish side overrides all of my common sense, so please help me build a construct rider.

Don't forget that feats like beast-rider and the like can expand the options

Grand Lodge

Ill start with a lvl 1 : half-orc so we can take beast rider and picking elephant. Assuming at least one scenaria was completed.

Olifan-A1
lvl 1 animal companion
Medium Construct

Str : 14
Dex : 14
Con : -
Int : 2
Wis : 13
Cha : 7

Hp : 28
Ac : 20
Fort : 3 (immune to most)
ref : 5
Will : 1
Immune : disease, death effects, necromancy effects, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, stunning, ability damage, ability drain, fatigue, exhaustion, energy drain, and nonlethal damage.

Attack : Gore +3 1d8+2, Slam +3 1d6+2

Feats : Light armor proficiency

Grand Lodge

Really? Nothing? Gigantor is disappoint.

I am confused at what you wish to accomplish with this thread. Critique your build? Help optimise it? Give you flavor ideas what to do? For PFS?

First of all : Yes pfs, second sorry if it's unclear, third : general build ideas with possibly some examples, I grew up watching things like astro-boy and imported getter robo tapes so flavor won't be a problem

rule wise, seems like horse and camel are your hard limits. I'm not even sure if you would enjoy most of the benefits of the archetype with PFS limit. doesn't PFS have like some rules about crafting items?[not sure if constructs count as crafting your own items] You also lose the mutagen and can't take it later as a discovery.

I think it falls under the same reasoning as arcane bonds, at least that would seem reasonable in my mind and let's not forget that it's an animal companion so it might stack with others and it allows for things like the Beast-rider feat.

Sovereign Court

mostly meant all of the fun stuffs of customizing your own construct but well...guess just make a mounted build, not much else to say. Get the best mount you can get. I suppose the cone/line bomb fire breath discoveries aren't too bad but I suspect that they might not see much use , if you have some melee in the party.

Grand Lodge

It doesnt note that craft construct is not gained, but since crafting is illegal, you most likely are only allowed to work on your personal construct, and things like armor modifications would run on cost not price like an arcane bond.

Considering it's an animal companion it would stack with others and expand the list unless im mistaken.

Thinking wild child brawler into construct rider for a robotic gorilla even though that makes no sense flavorwise, might go into mammoth rider even though it makes no sense, but chicks dig giant robots, even in pathfinder.

I've looked at the archetype again, then at the Additional Resources, and it seems it isn't legal for play (the archetype being on page 12):
Archetypes: the archetypes on pages 12, 14, 24, 30, and 31 are not legal for play. The archetypes on pages 17 and 23 are legal for play;

I've heard you talk about it yesterday, and the more I heard, the more it seemed wrong to me. Apparently it's not legal, sorry.

(Also, Wild Child does not allow you to get a Construct Gorilla. Mount =/= Animal Companion. You need to overlap exactly to lift features from one class to another. In this case, you can choose to either have a Construct Mount, or an Animal Gorilla, not a terrible mixture of the two.)

Well how about that, i'm blind as a bat, oh well, guess ill go back to my druid. but still, how the hell did I read it that wrongly
