Hello, I have a question or two regarding the Unchained release and the ninja. I'm in a home game with both a ninja and barbarian, and prefer to follow published rules by default. I understand for PFS it's been ruled that there'll be no unchained ninjas, but can I get official word in here or linked to on if there's plans to produce material for the ninja as an unchained counterpart? I'm weighing changing the barbarian to unchained, and can happily be patient for official material on the ninja to avoid changing them once now and again later for the campaign's smoothness, but if it's not coming I'd rather not wait forever. If it isn't I can treat the ninja as a rogue archetype, unless the current ninja is officially considered to be on parity with the unchained rogue, which in my limited experience I find difficult to imagine but would accept and appreciate an official word on. I'm not aiming to power-game, just follow the intention.
Also, to any who would be kind enough to offer unofficial input/advice, I would appreciate both on the relative balance of the old rogue, unchained rogue, current ninja and an unchained ninja. How does the present ninja compare to the unchained rogue, and how would an unchained ninja porting over all the new features (except danger sense) compare to the unchained rogue? If the former is weaker and the latter stronger, any suggestions for a partial port that would balance well with the unchained rogue (by taking/not taking the unchained-introduced features, not tweaking about other aspects of the class)? The ninja isn't taking any rogue skills and I don't look to optimise, they could continue without any alteration, but I don't want to/see sense in depriving them if they should get something.
Thanks to any and all repliers :D.
PS: I should mention the campaign intends to reach level 10, for the second question.

From my conversations with the PDT and others here, the original ninja is considered roughly on parity with the unchained rogue. If you particularly want to buff ninjas, it's easy to add the Unchained rogue changes to it, but given the ninja's power advantages, if you do that, you may make the Unchained rogue obsolete.

The ninja as is overall equal to the unchained rogue. The Ninja has more freedom in selecting rogue talents, and the ki pool + vanish is quite strong.
If you wanted to do a partial port, you can give ninjas the ability to sneak attack in concealment, and to use the unchained version of any rogue talents they pick up.
I wouldn't give them debilitating injury, finesse training, or skill unlocks.

Thanks all of you ^^. It's not my intention to buff ninjas, I was and am wholly happy with ninjas as a class, I won't be taking vanishing trick cus it just doesn't suit their character non-mechanically, and I'm not in general troubled or dissatisfied. I just wanted to know if the ninja was being left or had just yet to be gotten to, if it was being updated I'd not mind what the content was, I'd be elated to get weapon finesse the feat alone without the later dex to damage options and nothing else.
If they aren't being "patched" even in a minor way, it's good to know :).
