I am gming a 7th level game I have a first level character I am applying the gm pont to. I have a couple of questions

I know I cannot apply the gold or items to my first level character and need to wait until level 7 to access them (Real bummer as I want to purchase one item from the list mostly for rp purpose figurine of wondrous power-silver raven Described in module as a hawk for my vigilante Sparrowhawk)

can I still apply the xp and prestige points and get the money when I hit level 7 if i can't I can wait but if it becomes a habit of me having to wait before applying gm scores from higher tier games i could literally jump 2-3 levels at a time and miss whole sections with this character.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

You can hold the chronicle until you hit level 7 and get everything on the chronicle for a level 7. If you hold the chronicle until 7 and the character dies, you lose that chronicle.

Another option would be to reduce the gold to 500 (1,398 on a module) and have access to all the items but the boons would be inaccessible until your character reaches 7th level.

Hopefully that helps.

Last I saw, that wasn't an option for GMs. Has that been changed/clarified somewhere?

It has been!

And do I take advantage of it! I actually get to play the higher level scenarios with my characters (at the levels I enjoy more)!

You can also apply those GM-chronicles at slow-progression* when you do apply them.

Also worth noting, GM chronicles apply as soon as the character is in-tier for the scenario, not at a pregen level or APL. For a 5-9 that was played with all 7th pregens, that the GM applies to a 1st; the PC gets the chronicles at 5th level.

* assuming the whole level is slow-pro.
