reading Adventure path as a novel, for the story any suggestions for best AP for this

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

I will not be playing any time soon, no time and no groups (in my area)

I do enjoy the general story lines, and imagining playing through adventures

What would you suggest , as the best AP to read for the storyline?

Any thoughts?

I have heard Carrion crown has a bit of a lovecraft feel, which is appealing to me

Wrath of the righteous also seems appealing to me (I like the worldwound, Demon theme).

Kingmaker?

My recommendations, in rough order:

Second Darkness
Council of Thieves
Carrion Crown
Rise of the Runelords
Jade Regent
Curse of the Crimson Throne
Kingmaker
Shattered Star
The others

Carrion Crown is more gothic than Lovecraftian, although Book 4 tries. You'll probably enjoy the module Carrion Hill, though.

Wrath is... all right.

Thank you for that response

No problem. ^_^

I wouldn't choose kingmaker, personally. I think the best ones to read as stories would be legacy of fire, wrath of the righteous and second darkness. Possibly also council of thieves (though the first instalment is the weakest storywise, in my opinion). I have t read it, but it seems that iron gods has been well received from a "coherent story" perspective.

Iron Gods and Mummy's Mask both have great cohesive story lines, also Curse of the Crimson Throne, Rise of the Runelords and Shattered Star tie together brilliantly.

Also Kalindlara has a pretty good list, I have no experience with Legacy of Fire or Second Darkness, Council of Thieves might make a better story then Campaign, tho I have no experience running it

Dark Archive

Carrion Crown is most definitely a good to great read.
