I love Titansgrave. I like it enough to already re-watch episodes 0 & 1 (I'll watch 2 tonight). As for not like Wil, I felt it was a mixed bag. I listened to one of his podcasts and found it hilarious, but at the same time found him cocky as ---, which led me to stop listening.
Even on TableTop he can get on my nerves. But overall I like him.

Speaking of TableTop ...
Will plays Dragon Age with Chris Hardwick, Kevin Sussman, and Sam Witwer AND Chris Pramas is the GM!
Pretty cool (and funny). Also cool to see the guy that wrote the actual game act as GM.

How could one dislike Wheton? He's so earnest about his hobbies, each of us nerds should just like that. Besides, he's charismatic and funny. And was in a Stephen King movie.
Well I personally disagreed with him on things involving certain controversies (coughgamergatecough) in the gaming industry.
Others don't like him because they find him to be a self-absorbed and arrogant who panders to the "nerd" culture way too hard.
I personally can't say I exactly see that in him, but the stuff he said about gamers was horribly overgeneralizing and made it seem like he was talking down to us, souring my opinion of him. But that's come and gone and I can't say I don't like the guy nowadays.

Mind if I ask what you are referring to with 'gamergate' and the 'stuff he said about gamers'? I'm not familiar with this ...

I watched the second episode of this last night with a buddy through a google hangout. It was uncanny how much this group of people sounded and played like our group (over abundances of beer notwithstanding). Man, we laughed steadily for the entire 45 minutes. It was great!
And when Hank Green
I'm enjoying this series a lot. It's a great group and they're fun to watch.

That's actually off topic for this thread and probably isn't something folk need to get into here.
Agree 100%. Marc I'd just use Google Fu for that, it's a huge can of hideous, dire worms.
On topic: I really can't wait to get a hold of this "AGE" stuff, especially Titansgrave. I always felt like my homebrew sci-fi/fantasy/post-apoc setting doesn't sit well with Pathfinder, and this system seems much more flexible and rules-lite, which is also right up my alley.

Fair enough! I'll Google it to see what all the kerfuffle is about!

Well, had I gone around starting to dislike everyone caught on one end or another of the gamer gate fiasco I'd be left without many public figures to like who have anything to do with video gaming.
The thing with Wheton is, I feel he's honest. I mean, actually passionate about roleplaying, board games, and other bits of nerd culture. Sure, he's making a living off of it as a showman - but that just means content (free content, might I add) for me, right?
I don't think Wheton could have got to where he's at without constantly thinking about gaming. He's genuine. I really like that about him. Wish there were more people that are not only as outspoken as he is but only posses the charisma to pull off something that might actually excite someone who isn't into gaming already about the prospect. Certainly this Valkana thing is the best effort I've ever seen.

Then you'll probably enjoy Nimmorgeist. He's jumping on the bandwagon; livestreaming has been around a while, but breaking it up into 30-60 minute 'episodes' makes watching full campaigns actually enjoyable.

He can definitely come across as smug or arrogant at times, but I don't dislike him and I definitely agree that he is truly passionate about all these geeky things that he's involved in. I remember coming across his blog years ago, before his recent career resurgence as a geek icon (or maybe early on) and him talking about running D&D for his son and friends. He really is into this stuff, and enjoys sharing it with a larger audience.
I haven't watched Valkana yet, though I'll probably give it a shot since there wasn't a new Critical Role (which is my go to "This is what playing RPGs is about" show) this week.

I've tried to find out about the Titansgrave rpg game system and when it will be available to havent been able to. Anyone know when/if this game system will be made public?
As is said all over the Titansgrave sites it uses the Fantasy AGE system by Green Ronin which is currently in Pre-Order. If you order from GR themselves you can get the PDF for $5.
The Titansgrave book is also available for Pre-Order.
$29.99 for the Core book and $24.99 for Titansgrave.

Or if PDF copies are fine then they're available on DriveThruRPG already.

Well I should say if you order the Hard Copies from GR and pick up the $5 PDFs you get the PDF immediately.

I am really enjoying both the series and the book. I'd love to see some meatier world-setting information from either, but I know Green Ronin was working under a tight deadline to get it out by GenCon. The art is absolutely top-notch!
The book is out? Do you know if Paizo will be selling it on the website?

Speaking of Wil and RPGs, both he and Will Friedle will be guest-playing on Critical Role tonight over on the Geek and Sundry Twitch channel.
Nice, I'm way behind on Critical Role, but I'll get to see it eventually. Since it takes me 2-3 days to watch an episode and I'm somewhere around 6 ... yeah
