warpriest and vmc magus interaction.

Rules Questions

1. Could a warpriest with the magus vmc use the arcana (spell blending) to put two first level spells on his list. True strike & shocking grasp.

2. Would they be considered on the warpriest spell list?

3. If so could he swift cast true strike with fervor?

4. At eleventh level he gains spell strike.
Would he be able to spell strike with shocking grasp?

5. If that warpriest had the major magic blessing could he cast shocking grasp without using the spell slot he had it prepared in?

6. If using the major magic blessing to cast shocking grasp can you spell strike with it that turn?

7. Can you vital strike and spell strike with the same attack?

As always i thank you in advance for any helpful responses & constructive criticism.

From the arcana:

When a magus selects this arcana, he must select one spell from the wizard spell list that is of a magus spell level he can cast

The wording of VMC lets him treat his level in primary class for the effects of the secondary class abilities... but it does not give him magus spellcasting of any kind. Thus I think the answer here is no to everything. He doesn't have any magus spells that he can cast, so by the wording on the spell-blending ability he can't use spell blending at all.

If that is true i'm more than a little disappointed in variant multi classing in general. It seems like you should be able to count your main classes spell casting as your vmc class spell casting if it doesn't grant you any spell casting at all seeing as you can't normal multiclass into magus once you vmc it.

It seems spell strike is practically useless if you can't use any spells with it.

Though a developer's insight would be nice or at least a paizo official stance.

I don't think a VMC Magus can take Spell Blending arcana. It does a lot of things relying on in-class structure, not compatable with other classes. Or rather, they can take it, but don't gain the spells as warpriest spells and don't have any magus spells.

Vital Strike refers to when a character preforms an attack action (which is a standard action) and Spellstrike grants a melee attack as a free action. This means that you can not use Spellstrike and Vital Strike at the same time.

EDIT: You can use any spell from any other class when using the VMC Spellstrike as long as they're also on the Magus spell list. What Spell Blending then could do is allow you to count spells from the wizard's spell list as magus spells, though doesn't acually grant you the spell.

I guess that you could use the arcana (broad study)
To spell strike with harm eventually.
But for a warpriest that is a loonnngggg time to wait for spell strike to be effective.

Perhaps the question i should ask is...
Is there a way to get true strike or shocking grasp on to the warpriest's
warpriest's spell list?
That way (broad study) would allow you to use shocking grasp with spell strike and fervor cast true strike.
This would have to be pfs legal.
Provided vmc is pfs legal in the first place.

VMC is not PFS legal.

Also, it is possible to Spellstrike + Vital Strike. It can't be with the free touch that Spellstrike turns into a weapon attack. But if you want to cast a touch spell, wait until you have an available standard action, then Vital Strike, you'll deliver the touch.

Means outside Quicken it's not going off in the same turn and the action economy sucks hard.
