Alchemical Reagents and Eschew Materials

Can these be combined?

Or, in other words, can I use Eschew Materials to gain the effect without using the Reagent. I know this does not work on all reagents, as many cost more then 1g (Black Powder for example), but there are ones that it could work for, like Silver.

Ask your GM, as opinions are divided.

Yes, it's a material component.

No, it's an optional material component, it's not a part of the actual spell so you can't ignore it.
No, if it's not actually present how can it have an additional effect.

I'm sure their are other arguments and these ones developed further, but that should be the main ones in a nutshell.

I'm in the 'no' camp FWIW mostly for the second reason.

Dragonhunterq is correct, and it's worth noting Eschew Materials was printed before alchemical reagents were.

As this is for PFS, is there a how they handle it? (or more table variation?)
