Would the Human alternate racial trait Silver Tongued apply to animal affinity as well?

Silver Tongued: Human are often adept at subtle manipulation and putting even sworn foes at ease. Humans with this trait gain a +2 bonus on Diplomacy and Bluff checks. In addition, when they use Diplomacy to shift a creature's attitude, they can shift up to three steps up rather than just two. This racial trait replaces skilled.

By RAW, I don't believe so, but it's ambiguous enough that I could see it going either way. ^_^

I assume you mean Wild Empathy? Unfortunately (and unambiguously) not. Wild Empathy is neither diplomacy or bluff. Silver tongued only affects diplomacy and bluff.

Wild Empathy may work in the same way as a diplomacy check, but that doesn't make it a diplomacy check.

That said, I personally don't think it's an unreasonable houserule to allow it to apply.
