Interactions with Two-Handed Thrower

If I have the Two-Handed Thrower feat, am I allowed to apply ranged weapon feats to (normally) melee weapons?

In particular, for feats like Close-Quarters Thrower or False Opening, that say "choose a type of thrown weapon," can I pick (say) False Opening (Scimitar)?

Hmm... Thrown weapons are a specific type of weapon, getting two-handed thrower doesn't make non-thrown weapons into thrown weapons, it just changes how you apply strength to them and how often you can throw them.

Throwing a weapon that isn't a thrown weapon turns it into an improvised weapon.

Probably should be allowed but RAW is iffy. "Thrown" is a vague name for a weapon category since it is also a verb.
