Summoner Unchained - How to make Tree Eidolon

Advice

I had originally planned to make a Half-Elf Summoner with an Eidolon which would be based on a Treant (Basically Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy) for Pathfinder Society

With the new restrictions from Pathfinder Unchained for PFS I can't seem to find a way to make one with the limited choices of subtypes.

I think the best option is the Earth Elemental subtype for it to fit in but does anyone think it could work for any other subtype?

Thanks.

I could see an agathion... though not at 12th+

Grand Lodge

appearance wise, psychopomps can look like just about anything. Bipedal Psychopomp could work.

Daemon, and make him look like a hanging tree. (Bipedal, limbs, slam, grab, constrict oops, only serpantine can have constrict.) represented by nooses hanging from his branches. (Daemons embody a single form of death.)

Lantern Lodge

I have to admit the lack of an Eidolon from the First World (Fey/plants) or the Shadow Plane feels like an oversight.

With that said, I agree that the Earth Elemental would fit the closest to your ideal. FLite's Daemon Hanging Tree would look cool too.

I would put good money on an upcoming product having Unchained-compatible Summoner archetypes which let you have new types of Eidolon, or just new Eidolon models. A lot of people have expressed interest in Plantdolons.

Scarab Sages

Protean could work too, if you go with a giant vine or legless trunk instead of a treant with legs.

Silver Crusade

Pick up Heroes of the Wild. There is an Archetype.

Unfortunately, it's not PFS legal with an unchained summoner as it changes the Eidolon's type.

For PFS, the Heroes of the Wild archetype isn't allowed with unchained summoners, since it changes the eidolon type.

It is, to the best of my knowledge, the only archetype that is exclusively available through retraining (since grandfathered existing summoners can still get it through retraining but no new characters can take it)

That said, I'm still of the opinion most outsider-type eidolons could be flavored as fairly 'tree'-like. There's a lot of weird types of psychopomps, agathons, devils, etc.
