How does low light vision work? Found 2 or maybe 3 version's of how it works

Rules Questions

I was looking at the rules about 2 or maybe 3 version's of low light vision.

any idea what ruling or mix of rules do you use for the game.

race senses racial traits say elf..

Low-Light Vision: Elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.
---
so dimlight only it Doubles.

Vision and Light.
Characters with low-light vision (elves, gnomes, and half-elves) can see objects twice as far away as the given radius. Double the effective radius of bright light, normal light, and dim light for such characters.
---
this one says it Double all light radius.

special abilities

Characters with low-light vision have eyes that are so sensitive to light that they can see twice as far as normal in dim light. Low-light vision is color vision. A spellcaster with low-light vision can read a scroll as long as even the tiniest candle flame is next to him as a source of light.

Characters with low-light vision can see outdoors on a moonlit night as well as they can during the day.
----
same as the 1st for the most part but moon light is now good as daylight for people with lowlight, with Vision and Light just saying moon light is just low light.

.

The Elf-specific version is just an abbreviated form of the larger rule; follow the Vision and Light section. The part about moonlight is essentially just to clarify how bright moonlight appears to be, and is abbreviated in a way similar to the Elf section. So long as there isn't any language that specifically contradicts what the CRB says, it remains in effect, and neither of the abbreviated forms preclude the more in-depth rule.

The ones specifying radius or distance are assuming a normal point source light. The moonlight is a broad area dim light, all of which is treated as normal by things with low-light vision. The same should apply to any large areas of dim light.

From a point source (or multiple sources), elves treat what humans think of as dim light as normal light, then have another area of what appears as dim light to them, even though it's dark to humans.

It's broken up in multiple places and badly written, but you can extract coherent intent from it.

The whole Vision and light section is very badly done, IMO. I'm particularly fond of not being able to use concealment within 60' of someone with darkvision. No hiding in the bushes with your buddy the dwarf.
