Extra Evolution and Summons vs. other "Extra" feats

I was browsing the "Extra" feats and noticed that all of these feats can be taken additional times with no limit with the exception of the Summoner's Extra Evolution and Summons. These are limited to 1,5,10,15 and 20.

Why is this?

I am a novice to the class and found it odd that only a single class's "Extras" would be limited this way.

Well -- there is no mention that you can take the Extra Channel feat, so you can only take that feat once.

So the Cleric's "Extra" feat is even more restricted than those for the Summoner.

I don't think you did a very thorough study of 'extra' feats.

Extra Bane, Extra Channel, Extra Ranger Trap can all only be taken once.

I don't think there is a whole lot of logic behind it. I'd lean toward an editing choice to better fit stuff on a page or just the author not being familiar with the rules that by default you can't take a feet multiple times.

Basically? Evolutions are kind of a Big Deal.

They're worth comparatively more than a great many other Extra X abilities. Extra Bombs, for example, is half a round's worth of firepower (assuming you're not spec'd to fling a lot of bombs). Not great. Extra Evolutions lead to much more than that, on the whole.

Because the SLA's of the Summoner are that dammed powerful and flexible. And as it is, they get a good deal of them. Meed I also mention that they are cast as a standard action?
