Iron Golems and Non-Magical Fire

The Iron Golem description states:

SRD wrote:
A magical attack that deals fire damage breaks any slow effect on the golem and heals 1 point of damage for each 3 points of damage the attack would otherwise deal. If the amount of healing would cause the golem to exceed its full normal hit points, it gains any excess as temporary hit points. An iron golem gets no saving throw against fire effects.

Note that the first mention uses the phrase "magical attack that deals fire damage" and the second mention uses the phrase "fire effects".

So... what about natural fire and lava? Is an Iron Golem healed by these also, or is an Iron Golem damaged by these without getting a saving throw? Or, is it a middle-ground where the Iron Golem is neither healed nor damaged by non-magical fire?

Iron Golems appear to be immune to fire in DDO and Nethack, but Minecraft makes them vulnerable to fire. Which way does Pathfinder go?

The Iron Golem is damaged by normal fire. If it were immune it would be specifically noted. For example, the Ice Golem specifically says it is immune to cold.

Interestingly, the Ice Golem has the same text format as the Iron Golem.

But... the Ice Golem entry also says:

Immune construct traits, cold, magic

So... the Ice Golem gets no saving throw against cold effects and is also immune to cold. Logic FAIL.

Instead of resolving the issue with the Iron Golem, I think you found an issue with the Ice Golem. ;)

I think you're right. I don't often use or encounter golems so I never noticed this before. I checked Bestiary 1 thru 4 and the only other one showing an elemental immunity is the Brass Golem in B3. Unless somebody wanted couple of these to have curveball, it is an inconsistency.
