As a swift action, you may move the protection to another target (including yourself); if you move the protection to yourself, you may use any of the shield’s properties or abilities as normal. If the shielded creature exceeds the 30-foot range, your shield’s protection automatically reverts to you. Any circumstance that would make you lose your shield bonus (such as an enemy breaking the shield, you dropping the shield, or you becoming helpless or unconscious) means the protected creature loses the shield’s benefit.
The target benefits from shield UNTIL THE NEXT ROUND, but if you don't move the shield from it as a swidt action - can she benefit from it for another round?
According to restriction for only one swift action per turn, the next part after "until the next turn" does not make sense.
Yes, this seems to be poorly written.
Strictly reading the text, you will never move the protection to another target. On any round, you can designate one target by using your only swift action, and it lasts until the start of your next round - in other words, the effect of your swift action expires at exactly the same instant that you regain the ability to use your next swift action.
Maybe, "until your next turn" is a mistake? Because where will be the shield bonus, if you WILL NOT use your swift action on next turn to move it back to you? In the air, shieldiend nobody?
But you can just move 30 feet away and yeah! You get it FOR FREE! >_<
