There are things for precisely this situation.
False Casting lets you trick onlookers into thinking that you cast a spell using mombo jumbo and finger wiggles. You do not even have to hide the wand, and you can just bluff saying that it is a focus component (or hell, not stated in the feat, but wands are valid for arcane bonds- something to consider when roleplaying this out)
You do not even need a check if they do not have ranks in spellcraft, it just automatically works. If they do have ranks, then it is an opposing check between spellcraft vs bluff.
Also, remember the spell weapon wand, which allows you to place a wand into a magically created space within your weapon. That can allow you to further hide the wand, and it can allow you to pretend that the weapon is your arcane bond, and you do not have to explain why your bonded wand looks different all of a sudden.

Also, just for flavor, I like the trifler trait. It gives you prestidigitation 3/day as an SLA (which means 3 hours/day, due to an unusually long duration for a cantrip).
It is pure parlor tricks, but it is the kind of thing that you can use to convince people you are a legit caster during social situations. I mean....it would be the first spell I would want to learn, and it seems like something you would expect from most arcane casters.
Endlessly useful for something so basic- a real quality of life thing. And it allows for more than enough little tricks that you can use to ingratiate people ("let me just clean you up" or "do you want your tea a bit sweeter?")

Hmm which faction is Trifler held under? Dark Archive?
I really do like trifler as it fits with the faux-caster theme.

Let's see....ah here, trifler
It is in the faction guide...a race trait for humans with varisian ancestry. Or half elf/orc, I suppose; so race isn't too much of a restriction. A bit of role playing requirement for family there...but considering the fact that you just need a varisian relative (and varisians are well known for wandering through the lands), it isn't too hard.

Or have adopted varisian parents.

I also love its utility for rogues, since it can be useful in oh so many stealth and espionage situations.
Cleaning blood, staining other people with blood to incriminate them, hiding the taste of non-subtle poisons...heck, even the color change can be useful (the guard are following the thief in the red cloak, while you are whistling on the street corner in your dapper yellow cloak). Really, it just covers all the little details that are oh so important for getting away with crime.

Thank you again graystone and lemeres. Sure I will roleplay a Varisian character or one who was adopted by Varisans if that is what it takes to use the Trifler trait.
Hmm I found the counterfeit mage archetype for rogues which seems like it is right up my alley.
EDIT: Yeah prestidigitation seems awesome for such tricks.
