Question on Masterwork, Silver and cold iron weapons

My first time making a Fighter and I had a few question on Special Materials.
I know cold iron says you include the Masterwork cost in making it but the description for silver doesn't. Do I still need to make my silver weapons Masterwork. Also when you buy arrows the book has them listed as 20 for 1gp.

Silver arrow:
1gp+40gp(20x2gp for silver)=41gp for 20 Silver arrows

I'm not sure if you need to add masterwork quality to silver weapons or ammunition but if I do it would cost:
1gp(20arrows)+ 40gp(20x2gp silver)+120gp(20x6gp Masterwork)=161gp for 20 arrows

Also I cant find the price for ammunition for Cold Iron all it says is that the weapon costs twice as much plus the Masterwork Cost Does than mean 20arrow would cost:
2gp(1x2 Cold iron)+120 (20x6gp Masterwork)= 122 for 20 Cold Iron arrows.

I haven't looked at silver but I'm almost positive that cold iron weapons (and ammunition) only cost double the standard. So 20 Cold Iron arrows would cost 2 go. I'm heading off to bed and on phone (or id give better links) but your Cold Iron stuff looks right. Though I don't believe you have to make them masterwork, they can be regular old arrows.

Edit: I decided to look, I don't think you have to make a weapon masterwork for it to have silver. Your calculations look correct to me (both for regular and masterwork.

Masterwork is always a flat cost, added on top.

With some other Special Materials, the Masterwork cost is included in the additional cost list.

He appears to get the general idea- masterwork is a separate thing for most materials. He has the masterwork cost for a set of arrows as +120 for both silver and cold iron, on top of their normal costs.

Your prices for arrows are wrong I believe.

Cold Iron Arrows/Bolts are 2 gp. Silver Arrows/Bolts are 3 gp (can't remember if it's correct). You can add masterwork property to arrows for additional +300 gp per 1x quiver of Arrows (20)/Bolts (10) so one masterwork arrow/bolt is 15 gp/30 gp.

Cold Iron and Silver don't require Masterwork. Some materials do; Mithril and Adamantine are the big two. They'll be specifically noted.

For example, Mithril includes this line:

Cost Weapons or armors fashioned from mithral are always masterwork items as well; the masterwork cost is included in the prices given below

To contrast, this is Cold Iron's costing:

Quote:

Cost Weapons x2 normal. Add magic enhancement +2,000 gp.

Alchemical Silver weapons don't have to be Masterwork, but Silversheen weapons do.

The masterwork quality adds 300 gp to the cost of a normal weapon (or 6 gp to the cost of a single unit of ammunition).

If a material includes the masterwork cost in its price, it will say so.
Otherwise, you CAN pay extra for the +1 to hit, like Xelaaredn said...

300gp for a weapon, or 6gp per ammo unit.
