Question about designing Wrath of the Righteous

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

Since one of the feedback items that keeps cropping up is that players would love to use their victorious heroes in a second Path after completing their first.

Was it ever considered that Wrath could be a vehicle to use characters that have already completed a cycle?

Not complaining, just curious !

My guess, no.

But maybe if someone did a cool mod where you didn't use mythic charges, just your advanced abilities you already got. Huge balancing issues arise, of course, plus you would need new role cards or something so that characters could get more feats. And it becomes like a whole different game than one where you can start playing with just the Wrath base set.

I can be pretty certain the answer is no, as the source material - just like Runelords and S&S - is an adventure that begins with 1st-level characters

That's not Wrath's story. Wrath is about low-level characters who get drawn into an epic story and then become epic themselves. It's not about superheroes who become more super.

So, I guess that leaves the obvious question - are there APs which do focus on high-level characters getting even more epic?

No, there isn't.

In Pathfinder you can maximum reach level 20, and most AP goes until around 16, so there is not much space left to became even mor epic. Honestly, even at 16 combat already became a bit insane.

Ah, I did not know that! Very cool, thank you

There are, however, some modules that can hit those high levels. I'm actually working on a homebrew "chapter 7" for Rise of the Runelords right now, and once all the required card types are available to be created on drivethrucards, I'll post it up and people can order the cards and play though. :)
