Reach Vs. Charge Attack Of Opportunity

Rules Questions

If a creature with reach and a reach weapon is charged by another creature without reach does the reach creature get an attack of opportunity on the charging creature?
I have never heard of this before and someone brought this up tonight and we didn't know for sure. Please if someone from Paizo itself could answer as my group may not change their ruling otherwise. Thanks.

Grand Lodge

Charging doesn't preclude aoo's. If the charger leaves or passes through a threatened square, they will be subject to an aoo if the threatening creature can make one. (Not flatfooted, has an aoo available, etc).

By your description as I understand it... Yes

So no or yes the wording still seems contradictory. Sorry.
My party would like a yes or no to the situation listed as above he is 30ft away if that helps.

Grand Lodge

A creature with reach will get an attack on a charging creature without reach because the charger will almost always pass through a threatened square.

Exceptions exist, such as cover or the reach creature May be flatfooted but the other 95% of the time, yes, he gets an aoo.

Thanks

I also found proof as of late,

Core Rulebook page 183 Table 8-2 "Actions in Combat" Subsection 1
You will notice in the "Attack Of Opportunity" column filled with "yes" and "no"'s there is a number 1 by the column heading "Attack Of Opportunity"
Subsection 1: "Regardless of the action, if you move out of a threatened square, you (usually) provoke an attack of opportunity. This column indicates whether THE ACTION ITSELF, NOT MOVING, provokes an attack of opportunity."

The "usually" part refers to very special cases or the DM's discretion Not Charging.
