Spring attack and stealth

Rules Questions

It's an easy question. Is it possible to use stealth in the same round you make a full round spring attack?
Spring attack is a full round action and even if movement is involved it is not a movement action so....I'm not sure about it.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Stealth is usually made as part of actions, rather then a specific action.

TO have stealth, you must somehow have Concealment or Cover, and break the line of sight between you and your enemy for a sec, so that you can stealth.

So, yeah, it's possible, if the terrain, or your abilities to generate concealment/cover allow it.

Shadowdancer is great for this, especially if you can constantly generate Dim Light somehow

Pretty much what they said.

If your darting hitting then finishing behind cover you should be able to stealth. Though unless you have insane movement speed or something like Shadow dancer's Hide in Plain sight. then... no reason the guy can't walk around same thing and see you on his round.

I've made a fun shadow dancing using this, and dimensional agility line in a home game. Was based off a ranger but these days a slayer is perfect for it.

So you start your turn having stealth and presumably not in plain sight of the enemy (or your stealth is broken before you begin your turn).

Now you Spring Attack with the benefits of stealth lasting until you attack the enemy at which time you no longer have stealth and you are visible to ALL enemies capable of observing you. You finish your attack and then continue your movement to end up behind cover or with concealment which allows you to make a Stealth check.

But everyone saw you run to that spot. Everyone knows where you are. You should expect them to come find you and attack you. If they can, and if they're not too busy doing something else (like fighting your allies).
