Does the Spiritual Guardian feat affect staff spells?

I have the feat Spiritual Guardian and a staff that casts Spiritual Weapon. Does anyone know if the spell gets affected if I cast it from the staff? I know that staves use the users feats that affect DC but I wanted clarification for this one

I think it's no because a staff still isn't casting.

Activating spell trigger items, even staves, counts as activating a magic item rather than casting a spell.
