Deific Obedience

The core rules use this term but they are using the wrong word. The word should be "obeisance" not "obedience". You are showing deference to the Deity not obeying an order.

I've always been under the assumption that an obeisance may go beyond deference into a demonstration of obedience. I would also argue that the proscription of a particular obeisance for a boon might be considered an order.

The definition of obedience in an ecclesiastical context is: "conformity to a monastic rule or the authority of a religious superior, especially on the part of one who has vowed such conformance", which is precisely what the feat is talking about. In addition, Inner Sea Gods always uses the form "perform obedience", which is the correct usage for daily devotionals going back to the middle ages. Go search for "perform obedience" on google books prior to 1900. Paizo is using the correct term and the correct phrase given the context.
