On the one hand Freedom of movement allows the target to
"move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes movement, such as paralysis, solid fog, slow, and web."
On the other hand, Blade Snare doesn't stop the person from moving or attacking. It stops their weapon. This is an important distinction.
Does Freedom of Movement counter Blade Snare?

I don't think there is any distinction. Consider it this way: If Freedom of Movement only worked on you, then how would it protect you from things like web? If you personally (and only "you") can move in the effect and your gear couldn't, then what? I'll tell you what. You walk out of that web and find yourself completely naked because everything else is still trapped in it. Along the same lines, would my clothes still be grappled by the ruggedly handsome, oiled muscular gentleman once I move away? Is that how Freedom of Movement functions?

You lock a weapon in place on its owner’s body, or within the weapon’s sheath or holster. Anyone who then tries to draw the weapon must spend a standard action and succeed at a Strength check (DC equal to the saving throw DC) to do so, provoking attacks of opportunity whether the attempt succeeds or fails.
