Updated numbers - have to be treated with caution as most settlements currently can't accept new members. %-numbers are now updated for every settlement and I used the ones from Caldeathes spreadsheet instead of the ones I took 3 (?) weeks ago from the GW webpages. They should be more accurate.
Callambea had a large drop in members. I heard rumours it is administered from afar now. Ozem had a similar sized drop - but I might have got last week wrong by 10 - so that might not be real. Aragon has overtaken Stoneroot. The recruiting in Marchmont seems to pay.

It'd be really cool to see these on a line graph over time. How many started close to where they are now vs. how many grew significantly after the first couple of weeks? Is growth steady? A single spike or two? Or is the recruiting engine running out of steam?
*continues plugging in numbers* Almost there, Mr. Dragn.

We (Ozem's Vigil) did not have any members drop from last week with the exception of Wilderness Wonderers continued his vagabond ways and moved on to Phaeros. I forget how many characters he had in that company. We also gained 3 new members last week.
So Wilderness Wanderers currently move from settlement to settlement? That explains the numbers - I sum up every company of a settlement and of course a group like the wanderers will make a spike up or down if they join (and then move on).
Good info to know.

Does the "size" include leaders that are missing, or not? If not, a settlement with lots of companies might look a bit messed up.
(Edit: the missing leaders are included, since a company of which I am aware that has a leader and no members is listing no members but a size of one.)
Regardless of what i slisted teh mess with companies and leadership is still effecting things.
My company has had no leader all week and has at least one application that could not be accepted. I have the impression that Keepers has entire companies that have somehow got detached.

What I wonder is will characters still show up in the counts if their subscriptions lapse.
April will be a critical month for gauging player retention, though we can probably figure it out even earlier based on posts selling accounts.
Last I looked I actually had 1000 point characters (created for WoT purposes) showing as in my company that had since been deleted by the players in question.
If they are still there this week I will bug report it.

I can confirm that the character's name will still appear. I deleted an alt several weeks ago, and he still appears.

It could feasibly also be potentially exploited to make a company look bigger and more attractive to potential new members.
Well there are quite a few players that have many characters that make their settlements look bigger anyways. I think Thod's statistics; while full of good intentions, didn't accurate represent the player base anyways.
