So I'm making a melee Nature Fang Druid, but I can never settle for a Domain/Inquisition.
I know for a fact I prefer that over the animal companion - personal preference - but I can't seem to decide on any.
Here are the ones I've been considering:
- Wolf/Crocodile: Great powers for a martial character in both of these, but one issue - I plan to be a Goblin, so Trip is less useful and Death Roll will only work on Medium creatures (not to mention that getting Improved Grapple should be hard unless I pull some Deity Favored Combat Style for my Slayer Talents). Another strike against Croc domain is the familiar... I prefer to roll solo.
- Vulture: No melee stuff, but interesting abilities nonetheless. I get a few extra feats over other Druids thanks to the Slayer Talents, so I could get Spell Focus (Necromancy).
- Anger Inquisition: Rage sounds awesome, but no domain spells makes me sad. I mean, Aspect of the Wolf might gimme the same bonuses more or less.
- Black Powder Inquisition: Hard to say no to GunDruid...
Anyway, any recommendations?

If you do not want the familiar, the only thing you are gaining out of Croc is sneak attack, which isn't enough to save the Rogue so it won't do you much good either.
Vulture isn't great for a MELEE FOCUSED druid but it's cool flavor
Anger is really good if you plan to multiclass barbarian, but as a single class druid you will lose a lot from not having those spells.
haha gundruid. going to have to try and build that one some day
Consider the following:
Desert: Heat Shimmer is a really solid defensive option at levels 1-3 or so when you are waiting for your druid spells to get good. Free action Blur for a number of rounds. At later levels you can summon genies, which is super cool if for no other reason than summoning genies. Shifting Sand is a great spell to get 1 spell level early.
Plains: The level one ability is not very useful, and actually will come into play probably later than the level 6 ability. But the level 6 ability is a once a day pounce. 3rd level spell is Haste.

A goblin isn't gonna want to rage due to inherent STR penalty.
Crocodile would be cool for sneak attack and flanky friend but since you don't want one it seems weak.
Wolf also seems weak as trip sucks on a small character.
Fire seems rather cool I must admit.
I'd prolly settle on a Ranger Combat Style before deciding on domains.

We are rolling stats, and I rolled 17, 17, 14, 14, 13, 10... so I don't mind taking the STR penalty. So Rage is actually an attractive option!
For Combat Style, I'm likely taking either more 2H feats (using a Scythe) or going for some switch-hitting.
Fire sounds cool... but considering it's an aquatic campaign, I'd be worried to burn the ship down.
