I have a different discussion related to this topic. The maps are all in 10 foot squares. In roll20 I can increase the map size, and keep the grid on so as to create 5 foot squares, but the quality of the image decreases noticeably. If anyone is running this via VTT did you just accept the lesser quality or pretend the 5 foot squares were 10 foot squares?

In some of the areas things get *REALLY* tight if you pretend to be 5' (talking about the Horn in particular), so I wouldn't suggest that assuming it is standard across the maps in the books. I was playing that book so didn't see the map very often except as a quick look as we drew out the rooms to help the GM on our table mat.

in roll20 you can right click on the map while in map layer. pick "align to grid" or something like that and outline a 3X3 box in the map thne the map will fix itself. just use 1.5 of the 10 ft cubes for it.in a 5 ft map
I know how to line a map up, but when I make it bigger the image is not as clear. What I did was line it up by 10 feet then double the map size and line it up again. That got me accurate 5 ft squares, but the map quality was not so high. If I do it by 1.5 I don't think the lines on the roll20 grid will line up with the map from WoTW.
However if I am wrong just say "Wraithstrike you are wrong", and I will try that method. :)

In roll 20 what I did was reduce the size of the squares and increase the size of the units. So my map of Branderscar prison is 55x72 units, each unit is 10ft, and each square is .5 units. I don't remember if I stretched the map or not before using it, it's one I have been using for a play by post game that's been very slow. You can see the result here at the roll 20 map. I have dynamic lighting up for fog of war/line of sight do you might not be able to see the entire map.
The end result is that the 10ft grid remains on the map, but the ruler function and character tokens snap to a 5ft grid I've set up.

For Branderscar i also used the original map without hidding the room numbers or anything. There's no hidden chamber anyway,
For the 9 lesson i did made some correction on the map :

For Balentyne, we are arriving there soon so ill have to make some change but i thin ill just hide the secret passage.

I'd like to know about the OP's question, actually. I bought the first book through the Paizo store and it does not seem to include any blank maps without the GM notes.
The first 3 books doesnt have any map without GM notes.
But from the book 4 there are at the end clear map which is much usefull.| wraithstrike |

I never paid attention to the grid size with the check box beside it. Even after reading what you wrote I was lost, but I have it now. Thanks. This make everything better since I don't have to lose map quality anymore. :)

For the maps with secret passage ways I copy the map over to paint or some other photo-editing software. I then pick a normal portion of the map and copy it over the "S" so the players don't know it is there. Some maps make this more difficult than others, but if you do it well it enough, then it wont be obvious. You just have to the gridlines matched up well.
Once that was done I copied my "altered" map, and saved it as its own file.
I also did this for Crypt of the Everflame.

Ah, OK. In that case I can do my own editing (or just mooch off of yours, which I appreciate :v) until I get to book 4.

Would you mind sharing these files?

Awesome, glad it worked out!

For those that have either been or run this AP, for chapter 3 what map did you use for the events at the battle of saintsbridge. there are several battle that in that section that have to be done by pcs, but there was no map supplied with the AP for the pc battles. All it comes with is the large area map where each square is over 100 yards. that make it almost impossible to use because the scale is to big. it a great reference map but can't really be used for combat. I know a lot of the events you can use just any old open field map, but there are few that take place on very specific terrains. I can't seem to find a suitable map to use.
