When adding a template to a PC or NPC that alters their type, what happens with their old type?
For example, a Half-Fiend Dhampir becomes an Outsider (Native), does he lose all properties of Humanoid (Dhampir)? And how would this be written in his stat bloc?

Is this correct, or would he be listed as a halffiend dhampir? Would he retain the Dhampir subtype?
I'm currectly doing up a bloc, but this question jumped in my mind and now I'm not sure how I'm supposed to write it.
It would depend on how the template was worded. In the specific example of the half fiend you are right because it changes the type to outsider(native). To me, that means delete the old type/subtype and replace it entirely with the new. I would expect to see something like 'the creature retains its original subtype' if it were to keep the (Dhampir) subtype.
