Do you include the phone number in the address of a package?

I ask this because my post office told me that they usually call the phone number (if there is one) listed in the package if the recipient of the package doesn't show up.

No. The only time we include phone numbers is for international orders' customs forms.

I am an international customer, so that means thet the phone number is written on the custom's declaration form on the package.

I'm not entirely sure the specifics. I know that we require phone numbers for international orders but I am not positive if the postal software includes it on all customs forms or just countries that it indicates it is required for.

Unfortunately i haven't kept any of the previous package in order to check it.
I will check the next one. If it isn't included, is there any way to have it printed in future orders?

I've checked with the warehouse, and it looks like this only time it prints is on customs forms for Priority packages. It looks like the shipping software that we use for standard post does not have a way to print the phone number.

You might be able to put it into the address as business name, but I don't if that would throw postal system off.
