Hello all... well after a three year hiatus my old gaming group decided to get back together and we chose to play Pathfinder this time. I have dabbled in Pathfinder a little bit playing an Invulnerable Rager but other than that my experience with it is limited.
Here's the question:
We will have a group of 4-5 players for WotR and I know one of them is going to be a: Holy Vindicator
I've seen the Demon Slayer class and its not my play style.
I was thinking Holy Gun but it seems a little more like the bastard red-headed step child in what you have to sacrifice to play or maybe that's just me.
So is there a Paladin or Fighter archetype or prestige class that is demon related? Something that uses a 2h weapon?
If its only Paladin then what seems to be the most common build for demon squashing?
Thanks for baring with me and thank you in advance for any advice!

I definitely agree, if you're playing WotR and you have the option of being the paladin....Be The Paladin!
As for archtypes the vanilla Paladin is king. Also no need for Oath of Vengeance with all the mythic goodies. I'm also coming to the conclusion that Oath against Fiends is a trap.
As a complete curve-ball however, maybe consider an alchemist specializing in throwing bombs and aiming to get the 'Holy bombs' discovery asap. They can deal a staggering amount of damage to demons and completely bypasses their immunities/resistances. Sure your dealing with fire resistance up until around level 8, but then your laughing.

Honestly, if I ever play WotR, I have always wanted to do the two handed fighter archetype, and be the Champion mythic path. My plan was to concentrate on vital strike, because mythic vital strike is awesome, and do as much damage as possible with one swing.
Most of my mythic abilities would be the passive ones, like mythic weapon training, so that my feats like weapon focus, weapon specialization, improved critical ect, apply to all 2 handed weapons. Anytime an enemy drops a 2 handed weapon, you can pick it up, whatever it is, and go to town with it.
It also doesn't require a ton of feats, so you can spend feats increasing your saves, or adding other cool abilities.

Run a Paladin with the dual Archetypes 'Oath of Vengeance' and 'Oath Against Fiends'. Make him a Pitborn Tiefling seeking to prove his worth extends beyond his demonic heritage. Take Fey Foundling as your first level feat, take advantage of the Tiefling's favored class bonus and load up on Extea Lay on Hands feats to power all your abilities. If you're really filling daring take a level dip in Oracle.
You'll have an absolute blast with that character both mechanically and thematically. Shoot me a message if you want to see a full build for it.

May i recommend a switch hitter elf ranger into lantern bearer. Would be pretty intense. Grab e lvan curve blade as your weapon. You would be effecient from both ranges of combat. Your favored enemy will be outsider evil. Champion path would be the good stuff lol. Between you and the paladin, you guys will be near unstoppable.

Personally I love my paladin. "Oh, a giant demon who is going to devour our souls? SMITE! Hell, my first experience at what a paladin could do was in Carrion crown, when you fight a (spoilers) demi-god demon thing. I freaking one rounded the bastard doing over 250 damage at level 10. (Or was it 11?)
Also- the demon hunter archetype for ranger looks to be a great fluffly fun time for WotR
