how does this ability works?

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

Lem from the bard deck has this ability:

"When you play a blessing on a non-combat Wisdom or Charisma check, you may add a d12 in place of the normal die."

This works only for me or for any other player?

Any time a player makes a Wisdom or Charisma check that is not for combat, if you play a blessing on that check they can add a d12 instead of their d6 or whatever.

Simple answer: It works when you play your blessing on any player.

Reason: It doesn't say "on your non-combat..." or "another player's non-combat." You can read it as "on any non-combat..."

Any player including yourself.

You add a d12 instead of whatever die they are using.

If the player is using a d6 for their check, you add a d12 (not a d6).
