Hey guys,

Some of you who've posted about selling accounts might have already received a PM from me. Since there were threads about it, I have assumed it's okay and made my inquiries. I'm making this thread as a formal declaration that I want to try to purchase an account - if I can't find one I'll likely jump on the EE train next month and just go from there. If you've got one for sale, hit me up!

Secondly, this might be the wrong market to ask, considering you're most already players and a darn sight more invested/experienced than myself, but I've been asking around for suggestions and it'd be silly not to do it here.

I'm going to start doing some videos and livestreams, monitor the game as it evolves as best I can, and my experiences with it as it grows. Show off some feature X and then check back in on that feature in 3/6/9 months as the lengthy progression of development marches on.

Is there anything in particular you'd like to see content focus on? Like I said, unless an account falls into my lap I have a couple of weeks to plan out my gameplay and corresponding videos - I'd like to do as good of a job as I can, and make things people are interested in seeing.

Until then, thanks for any help, I'll get back to pouring over forums and jotting down any relevant information!

Sounds like a neat project - good luck!

For a feature that will display clear progress over time, try PVP. So far, it's been pretty meaningless. Starting tomorrow, we'll have something to gain from PVP (capturing towers that empower our settlements). In the next big step, we'll have something to lose when we die in PVP (player looting).

Another thing to watch might be the economy. Right now, many people don't use coins or buy and sell goods on the auction houses (for reasons I won't drag into this thread). As people develop stockpiles of goods and coins, and as Goblinworks improves the Auction House UI, they hope to see a vibrant in-game economy develop.

What are the goals of your video project; do you want to position yourself as a critic, is there some academic subject, or do you do it for fun?

All of the above, actually. I want to play for fun. I also want to present the game to people who may be interested and unsure if they want to take the plunge financially, this early. I want to keep that interest alive on into the official hard launch - maybe creating a little community of excited content creators along the way. I also go to school for Digital Media, and making audio and video projects is something I do a lot of - it's very possible that some of my work for this project can be used for a grade.

Yeah, I'm pretty sad I'll miss that launch, and likely the launch of player looting. I get saltier and saltier with myself every day that goes by that I'm not in, mostly because trying to study something that you can't see is frustrating, but I'm sure there will be a ton of changes between now and "then" that missing this first month of EE won't kill me.

I'm pretty pumped to try PVP, although there are a lot of aspects I'm pumped about and it's going to be difficult to try and master them all.

Hi Ian. Couldn't you buy an EE account right now, or is the 100 dollars a hurdle? I am saying this, because even if someone will sell you an account right now, he will probably ask the same amount for it, since it will most likely be an EE account with Destinies Twin on it.

I understand that you would rather not spend 100 dollars on an account without the twin, only for 2.5 weeks of earlier access and thus rather wait for the 50 dollar account for Februari.

Well, mostly, I didn't want to spend the 100 dollars for an EE Account in January because I wouldn't get to do much with it in January. PAX is coming up, and I'm trying to get everything in order this week to spend a week in Texas.

Most folks are selling EE accounts for much more than the 100 buy in, which is fair, I just need to do my research to find out if it is entirely worth the money for those perks.
