GM Credit for Silverhex

GM Discussion

Dark Archive 2/5

I GMed Silverhex Chronicles: Mists for my brother and his family last night and it was incredible fun.

Silverhex Chronicles is pretty clear the players can only apply this to a first level PFS character.

As for my chronicle sheet, I understand I can basically check any of the quests off.

The instructions for GM credit are not really clear on the following:

Do I still get exp, prestige and gold according to the number of Silverhex Chronicles that I GMed or do I get to choose that too?

Am I also required to apply these to a 1st level character or can I apply these to any character?

You get to check off a quest for every one that you run. You can run the same quest over and over and check off different quests. Once you have achieved 6 quests run, that chronicle is maxed out and you should start a new one.

You must apply the chronicle to a 1st level PC.

You do get XP, PP, GP and boons as appropriate to the number of quests that you have run.

How many tables is it worth to the GM to run all 6?

I'm wondering about this as well. I'll be running this at a local Con coming up but, I got assigned to run only quests 4-6 on two different days. I'm wondering how this will apply to my GM credit.

Yeah, I'm slotted for 2 different slots of running 1-3 each time for a local convention.

I will run all six slots this Sunday. How to report the event should be a bit clearer, as I expect different players for all or most sessions.

Every quest GM lets you check off any quest of your choosing.

Every 4 hour slot run is 1 table towards your GM star rating.

So, make sure to report a table for every 4 hour slot you run, collect player info when possible but don't don't worry about what you don't know.

We had been told when reporting Silverhex only to reporting the GM name. I guess it doesnt hurt to report the players if you know them and if its the same players for all 6.

As far as table counts at the last convention I GMed their was 1 table of Silverhex Chronicles reported per session that was ran, this was true whether the GM ran 1 quest or 6 quests during that allotted time.

Thanks for the information I will hope to get six tables out and report al the players.

@William,

If you report each quest (and list of players) individually that is going to jump your GM Table count by 6 instead of just 1.

As I am a stickler for the rules, let me describe what i hope happens. (One credit per four sessions is reasonable, but I want to report allt he players._

Can I report the first four tables as a batch, listing myself once. Then list the last two tables with myself listed once. (I want to make sure any players get credit.) It is very unlikely because of the venue that I will have all the same players at all six sessions. As the shop also has a Magic The Gathering release and a tournament, I may have a lot of people just for one session and others in each of the following.

Here are the rules for reporting silverhex.

At this time it is not essential that a player assign the Chronicle sheet to a particular character number on the reporting sheet, though if the player happens to have completed the Quest series and/or knows which character is receiving the credit, reporting that information would be helpful.

You can just continue to add players to your table, no need to create extra tables.

Thanks, Robert!

I have some 5 hour slots at an upcoming Convention for Silverhex Chronicles... how are they running time wise? 1 an hour?

I've found each quest takes about an hour to run, including organizational stuff of making sure people have pregens and chronicle sheets and stuff.

Funky as it is to get credit sorted for, its even more mind bending in PbP as PbP runs on a different time scale, so I can't even guess how to track it. I was going to run it PbP but want to get a grasp of how the recording would work... keen players, dubious GM.

On a face to face play system are we just rolling with 4 hrs = 1 credit? I know my jet players would probably crush the six in 4, but some of my more... ponderous ones would struggle with 3 :p
