I have a family of werewolves in my campaign. Their story is that their blood is very diluted though, and most of them are witchwolves now.
So my question then is that when one IS born a werewolf... should I make them a witchwolf with the werewolf template, or should they be human?
What do you all think?

The witchwolf is less powerful, and werewolf is a "resurgence of the bloodline" or whatever. Therefore it should just be a human-base werewolf.
Not to mention that except for the "shift" ability (which is superseded by a werewolf's far better abilities) and the single SLA, skinwalkers of all stripes aren't very good compared to bog-standard human.
Personally I've never been that big on "always evil" lycanthropes. I know it dates back to 1st edition, nay, to ancient myth and legend. But "wolves are evil because wild animals kill people and because the moon-gods = evil magic" doesn't really work for me when that's basically what all the murderhobo paladins do as servants of ineffable righteousness and they probably pray to the good moon goddess.
Sorry, getting side-tracked. The character should be human-base.

Okay, yeah thanks that is what I was thinking too and what I did with one of the characters, but when making the villainous werewolf matriarch i was wondering...
And yeah, my thing is that werewolves are like drow in their evil. They are evil because their parents were evil and taught them to be evil. So, just like good drow exist but are rare, so too are the good werewolves rare (which is what it says in Pathfinder's book "Classic Monsters Revealed")
My 'family' of werewolves is the "matriarch" (a LE natural werewolf) of the Lupescu family and her daughter (a NE afflicted witchwolf) trying to bring their niece/cousin (LN natural werewolf) and her daughter (NG NOT afflicted witchwolf) into the "pack." There is also 4 other natural werewolves that work with the Lupescu family, but they are not related by blood, just their devotion.
