I was looking for any solid advice on traits, stating, feats for a character who's using ranger to prereq Lantern Bearer PRC. This is a 25 point buy, I'm going elf, and its for a roll20 based Wrath of the Righteous campaign.

Is there any reason to take Ranger levels only before entering Lantern Bearer? You might get just as much out of some Fighter or Slayer levels in the 5 before the PrC (e.g. Ranger 2/Fighter 1/Slayer 2/Lantern Bearer 10) since the class features of the early levels won't be advanced anyway.
Edit: melee, misread that. Two hander or two weapon or something odd?
Since I've got a little time on my hands, if you're going for two-weapon stuff, you might try something like this:
Take the Envoy alternate racial trait.
Daring Champion Cavalier 1: EWP (sawtooth sabre), Weapon Finesse with any light or 1H piercing weapon
Lore Warden Fighter 1: Weapon Focus (sawtooth sabre)
Lore Warden Fighter 2: Combat Expertise, Slashing Grace, TWF
Ranger 1
Ranger 2: Combat style (quick draw), Arcane Strike
Lantern Bearer 1
Lantern Bearer 2: Improved TWF
