I finally got my hands on a copy of "Blood of the Night". Page 15 has this little tidbit:
"Keep in mind that enhancement bonuses of +3 and higher automatically overcome certain types of DR, and that undead-bane ammunition is an inexpensive way to threaten vampires."
Okay, last I checked, it was only 3.0 that had any distinction between a lesser +whatever weapon and a higher +whatever weapon, at least in terms of whether DR applies. In 3.P, any magic weapon from +1 to +5 overcomes DR X/Magic, but there's no further distinction.
Is Blood of the Night mistakenly referring to 3.0, or is this a rule somewhere? And if so, where?

"Weapons with an enhancement bonus of +3 or greater can ignore some types of damage reduction, regardless of their actual material or alignment. The following table shows what type of enhancement bonus is needed to overcome some common types of damage reduction. +3 = Silver/Cold Iron,+4 = Adamantine, +5 = Alignment."

Overcoming DR: Damage reduction may be overcome by special materials, magic weapons (any weapon with a +1 or higher enhancement bonus, not counting the enhancement from masterwork quality), certain types of weapons (such as slashing or bludgeoning), and weapons imbued with an alignment.
Ammunition fired from a projectile weapon with an enhancement bonus of +1 or higher is treated as a magic weapon for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. Similarly, ammunition fired from a projectile weapon with an alignment gains the alignment of that projectile weapon (in addition to any alignment it may already have).
Weapons with an enhancement bonus of +3 or greater can ignore some types of damage reduction, regardless of their actual material or alignment. The following table shows what type of enhancement bonus is needed to overcome some common types of damage reduction.

Yes, in Pathfinder certain levels of enhancement bonuses overcome certain kinds of DR.
+1: DR/magic
+3: DR/silver and DR/cold iron
+4: DR/adamantine
+5: DR/alignment
Note that this does not include special abilities; a +4 Keen Rapier does not penetrate DR 10/good.
However:
+6, including special abilities: DR/epic
I'm pulling this off the SRD, so I can't give you a book/page number, but them's the rules.
