If you cast create demiplane to expand your old demiplane, the new area is added to the old.
In terms of you have a castle, First one gave you a castle, second could give you a tower for the castle.
Sorry was in a rush when I posted what I'm wondering about is extra effects e.g. structure, bountiful, seasonal. Normally my understanding is that one spell gives you the demiplane then each extra cast gives you something else e g a specific theme. But if you already have the demiplane permanent,a Size of 1,200 ten foot cubes with say the theme of a castle with seasons and bountiful properties then you cast the spell again to make it bigger. Does the expanded part of the plane start off as the default version or does it automatically inherit the traits of the original one. That us do the new 400 cubes just sit there blank till you recast the spell three times to give it structure, bountiful and seasons or does it expand with those properties already in place and all you need to worry about is thus permanency?

Oh I want the same rules just wanted to see if others thought an expanded plane inherited the traits of the original or needed those added to the new area.makes the difference between one six hour spell or seven or eight of them depending on what you've created Permanency doesn't really count as that's not a trait but an extra spell.
I'll go with expander plains inherit the parents traits then.
