I am working on a character potentially to run in Iron Gods and was considering something from Dreamscarred Press' Ultimate Psionics. Does anyone have a suggestion for a class that might be suitable for the adventure path? I read through the Iron Gods Players Guide and of course there is no mention of Ultimate Psionics, but most of the suggested classes are metal, construct or gun based.

Aegis is a nice class that I've been interested in trying out, but have yet to get the chance. It's built like a synthesist, but at a glance, it seems a little less gonzo in the numbers. I could be wrong about how that plays out, though. I won't promise you'll love playing it, but if you do, I'd be interested to hear how it goes.

Aegis is fun, and fits pretty well if you want to do your best Iron Man impression.
Consider multiclassing with the Soulbolt (it's a Soulknife archetype), and going into the Metaforge PrC.
Take the Student of the Astral Suit Feat and you'll be at full level for Customization points in Aegis, which is basically the only thing you need from the class.

Thanks for the advice. I just picked up Ultimate Psionics so I haven't played any of the classes yet. I'll read up on it and see what I can come up with.

There are a couple of fun archetypes that work really well for the Iron Gods campaign. There's a Cryptic archetype that basically gets gun katas which one of my players has been having a blast with. I'll double-check the name of no one has chimed in with it before I get home. As Rynjin mentioned, the Aegis is a generally great class that can also be thematically appropriate.
I'm pretty sure there's a racial archetype for half-giant gunslingers or marksmen (not sure which) that uses culverins, which is just cool.
