My patcher worked fine up until the current release. The release itself may have something to do with it since...
"...This release also includes a functional Macintosh Patcher, and updates to the Patcher technology for Windows."
I suppose mine will eventually get past the "Downloading - Pathfinder_Data\Textures.pig" point. In the meantime, downloading the 1.7 GB Alpha 15 installer will take me a little while. We'll see which completes first.

Was in game over an hour when no trainers when entering Blackfeather Keep. Have logged out and starting back fresh.
Just reappeared in a hex I was never in. 00.-5, NE of Blackfeather Keep. I don't think this is a result of the 100 account limit per hex.
[EDIT} incorrect, appeared in old hex where I last died. Still a de-synchronization.

Well, my Alpha 14 patcher will not update to the Alpha 15 version. It's locked up in the same place (downloading the textures.pig) multiple times and rebooting the computer and/or restarting the program does not alter the result. I'll have Alpha 15 downloaded soon, so it looks like i have to do a complete uninstall/reinstall. Using Win 7 on an x64 in case anyone's interested.

Worked for me.

I am actually very interested in the fact that the Patcher still tells you that you're on Alpha 14.
The Patcher "phones home" when it starts and gets an HTML page that we host on our site. That is a static page, and it's stored here:
https://goblinworks.com/patcher_landing/
If your Patcher is not showing you the current version of this page when you start it it means there's a problem.
It may be that the attempt to phone home failed and the Patcher is just using the same data it had from the last time it worked successfully.
It may be that there's a cache of some kind between us and you, for HTML, which could easily be causing other problems with the Patcher.
Either of those conditions is bad and is something I'd like to know more about. If you continue to see Patcher 14 text, try directly viewing that URL and tell me if you see Patcher 15 or Patcher 14.

My patcher:
Version Information
This is the Alpha 14 Client for Pathfinder Online released Tuesday December 9th.
Direct Link:
Version Information
This is the Alpha 15 Client for Pathfinder Online released Saturday December 13th.
[Edit] Just restarted my Patcher and it now shows Alpha 15. Somehow I don't think this info is going to be helpful...

Very strange. I see the version 15 info at the direct URL. However, even after restarting my computer and the patcher more than once, it still indicates it is on Alpha 14. It is working and I'm able to log in to the game, but for whatever reason, it's not updating to the correct version info for the patcher. The file date for patcher.exe is showing as 12/12. I dunno.
EDIT >> I think there was some sort of cache issue, though I'm not sure what. I right-clicked in the patcher window and refreshed it and it updated to the correct version info. No idea why it wouldn't update on its own. I'm sure it's something on my end since others aren't having the issue.

Except in cases where it is not planned down time.
From the Alpha Forums:
There was no plan to bring it down other than for normal maintnenace at 9. I have nit seen any email from the team indicating an abnormality. I will check the system myself in a bit and report if there is a problem.

Oh I completely agree there. Many MMO's don't even let the players know that THEY are aware the server is down for some time....
A simple message like that goes a long way to sooth eager gamers. :)
