Its my understanding that "real names" are required once you hit the top 32.
Does that mean legal name or can it be preferred name? (I'm transgender and have not yet been able to get a legal name change.)

Preferred name is absolutely okay! We'd like our contestants to feel comfortable and proud of their work, and having the name you'd like representing your work is OK with us :)

Also, if you need to do any name changes on your account for this reason (such as avatar name, which is not editable on the customer side), please ping community@paizo.com and we'll see what we can do for ya :)
