Pilfering Hand

Rules Questions

I have in the past used Pilfering Hand to snatch a powerful sword or bow to keep it from being used on me.

However this time, there are quite a few bows available. The problem is the archer's quiver full of human bane and elf bane arrows. I'm a half-elf and don't like those.

Is there any reason I can't use Pilfering Hand to steal the quiver instead of the bow?

Taking the bow is a Disarm maneuver. Taking the quiver would be a Steal Maneuver - also allowed by the spell - with the opponent recieving a +5 bonus for an item that is fastened to him such as a sheathed weapon.

If he took the time to make sure it was closely held before combat - such as by strapping it down with more straps and tightening it firmly - it could be impossible to take with a steal maneuver.
