Amazing Initiative and spell like abilities

Amazing intiative doesn't allow you to use the granted standard action for casting a spell but can you use it for using a spell-like ability?

PRD sez: "A spell-like ability has a casting time of 1 standard action unless noted otherwise in the ability or spell description. In all other ways, a spell-like ability functions just like a spell."

So, I would say no, if you cannot use the action to cast a spell, you cannot use it to cast a spell-like ability.
