What happens at 10th level instead of getting versatile performance. You get full benefits of clever explorer at 6th level and there is no listed substitute for versatile performance listed in the archaeologist class listing. Do you then get versatile performance?

You do not get Versatile Performance. The Clever Explore replaces the base and all future improvements. It just does not give you an improvement past level 6.
