Another Quick Combo Question

Rules Questions

Got a guy that is planning to take Snap Shot, Combat Patrol, and the bunch of feats for a crossbow to get 40' of threatened area with a crossbow shot.

Is this legal?

My first read through would indicate yes. I just want to be sure.

40 feet? Has he got a BAB of 35??? OR am I reading Combat Patrol wrong?

Looks like a 10th level fighter with BAB 10 would get a 15-foot threatened area, up to 25 feet at 20th level.

Sorry, poorly typed while talking about something else

BaB 10 so combat patrol gives 10'
improved snap shot gives 15'

So 25' from his square in all directions

I see 20 feet threatened range, which is certainly huge.
10' (improved snap shot) +10' (BAB 10 combat patrol) = 20'.
Or only 15' with (non-improved) snap shot.

The synergy between these feats is weird, combat patrol seems to be operating under the assumption of a melee weapon, since it mentions moving around in this zone to take the AoOs. Obviously, an archer wouldn't need to move around.

At the very least, be sure the PC taking this stuff has all the pre-requisite feats to pull it off. 6 prereqs + these two feats = 8 feats total, this makes it certainly possible for a 10th level fighter, but it's still a significant and very specific investment.
