At 4th level, a soul forger may spend 1 point from his arcane pool to increase the hardness and hit points of his bonded item by an amount equal to his magus level. These hit points last until expended or until the soul forger next prepares spells. Multiple uses of this ability overlap and do not stack.
This ability replaces spell recall.
The Soul Forger magus archetype has this 4th level ability. What it fails to mention is the action type to fortify his bonded item. Most other arcane pool actions are swift, so should I assume that with this as well?

Supernatural abilities are Standard actions unless noted otherwise. It's not noted, so it's a standard action. It's probably not something you'll want to do much in combat anyway.
Right, with its 'rest of the day' duration, it shouldn't really be required to be done in combat. Not all that useful of an ability anyway, and sadly, is a REALLY poor replacement for Spell Recall.
The real sad thing about the ability is:
@4th level:
Fortify Bond grants +4 hardness, and +4 hp
-vs-
Arcane Pool (+1 enchantment) grants +2 hardness and +10hp
@5th level:
Fortify Bond grants +5 hardness, and +5 hp
-vs-
Arcane Pool (+2 enchantment) grants +4 hardness and +20hp

I'd just assume have the adamantine weapon myself, so I don't have to worry about it being sundered with or without that ability. A +2 Adamantine Scimitar makes for a very sturdy bonded item. I think that would make the Hardness 24, with 26HP all the time, without spending any pool points, and only cost 1500gp for the soul forger to craft.
