Bah, I've got too much fluff and crunch running around in my head, I gotta get at least part of it down! Shamelessly poaching Elara and HighonHolyWater's template. :D
Name: Mek and Rek
Race: (Two-Headed) Oggr
Class: Aegis 1/Warder (Dervish Defender) 0
Party Role: Bruiser, frontliner
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Deity: The First, Asmodeus
Crime: Banditry (read: land piracy!)
Backstory: Mek and Rek are some god's idea of a sick joke. Born as a two-headed monster to an ogre and an Asmodean cultist, the Brothers came screaming into this world, and since then, have dedicated their lives to send the enemies of the First screaming from it. But even the most fervent disciples of the Prince of Darkness must work to eat, even if they share a stomach. Taking to banditry with ease and enthusiasm, they used the powers they received from their lord to handicap the merchants and travelers of Talingarde with great glee. It eventually got to a point where the trail they lurked on became a ghost road - not a man alive was sane enough to risk facing Mek and Rek and the rest of their motley band. So when a rather large caravan came through after roughly two weeks of no saps, the Oggr brothers couldn't be happier. But when they charged out of the trees to claim their prize, they found a trap, instead. Hundreds of soldiers of Talingarde had been assembled to end the bandit threat. And end it they did: slaying all of the Brothers' highwaymen and capturing the mastermind. The two now sit within the walls of Banderscar Prison, awaiting their beheading, and arguing over which brother will go first.
Personality: Mek is the calm, reasonable right half of the Brothers. He does most of the planning and detail work, and lives by the code "the ends will justify the means." He keeps Rek in line, preventing him from doing things he may regret, and is the truly devoted Asmodean of the pair, as taught by his mother. Rek is the rambunctious, confrontational left half. He is the one who puts Mek's plans into action, and takes the most joy in what they do. He pays lipservice to Asmodeus, but is simply content to have an outlet for his destructive impulses. Despite this, he is fiercely protective of those he considers comrades, and will tear through ranks of enemies to keep his companions safe from harm.
Possible Future Goals/hooks: Become a Graveknight. Rule over an army of bandits for eternity. Maybe subjugate the black dragon that ruled over their father's tribe for giggles.
Honestly, most of what I posted up-thread is really all I need to finish off the character. I do have two questions, though.
1. Graveknights get the Devestating Blast ability, but does this count as a breath attack for the purposes of the Two-Headed template? Because it would mean needing to give up a second level (because Two-Headed is then a +2 CR template) and I don't know how that would work, specifically. I suppose I could even out my levels by taking a level of Warder + the second CR of the Two-Headed template at level 7, making Mek and Rek count as Aegis 5/Warder 5/Two-Headed 2/Graveknight 2? I'm kind of OCD, so being able to even it out like this would be great for my peace of mind. :3
2. Would it perhaps be possible for my character to make a kind of Light Armor Astral Suit? And could this technically be the armor his spirit is bound to? Or should I just have him use Astral Skin and have some kind of light armor that he wears over it, which his spirit is bound to and counts as graveknight armor?
Now, to end this mammoth post, I'm really excited about this character. The way I am going to run it, each half of the gestalt is going to be one brother of the pair. Mek will be the Aegis, and Rek will be the Warder. This technically means Rek is kind of a tagalong for the first level, but he'll come into his own soon enough. :D

HighonHolyWater |

I wasn't going for much of a pyromaniac. Blasting stuff doesn't appeal to me very much. I was going to be more of a rougish type with the vivisectionist archetype using invisibility and other tricks to get my sneak attacks in. I'm actually thinking the Missing template looks pretty awesome for my ratfolk.

Nidoran Duran |

To shamelessly steal from someone's template since it works real damn well.
Name: Luna Aurial
Race: Human Female
Class: Bard/Rogue, with the intention of Arcane Trickster on the Rogue side.
Party Role: A lot of everything. Her class combo makes her a skill monkey extraordinaire, with emphasis on sneaking, Knowledge, and Charisma-based skills; even with an Inquisitor/Summoner, never hurts to have an extra bluffer. Spell selection will be geared toward various support and trickery abilities, augmented of course by Inspire Courage as her core buff ability, with some backup healing splashed in. Two-weapon fighting plus sneak attack damage means she'll be dealing her share of damage in combat. The class combo lends itself well to versatility and that's exactly where I intend to focus. Might take the vampire feat chain, just because everything there fits the character's aims rather nicely.
Alignment: NE
Crime: Sedition
Background:
Her uncle Joran was full of resentment about his older brother being left the family business, and he being promoted to mere cargo ship captain in the company. As a good citizen of Talingarde he revered Mitra, and kept the family's history of devil worship quiet only out of respect for his father's memory. At least for as long as he could stand to watch his brother run the company he felt he deserved. An anonymous tip was given to the town guard, accusing the branch of the family of blasphemy. When the guards came, Luna managed to escape, running as far as she could and not looking back as her parents were arrested for worshipping Asmodeus.
Left alone on the streets, Luna had nothing but her clothes and a smattering of spells she'd learned, a 15 year-old who'd never lived a day without luxury now an orphan. She took to performing to make money, gifted with a lovely voice that let her at least scrounge up to coin to eat when she sang on street corners. Pickpocketing, however, proved a much more profitable endeavor, and one she had a knack for. It seemed few people would suspect someone singing so loudly of being a thief due to their high-key behavior, giving her the perfect cover. And for those who spotted her? She was good at running too. Eventually she fell in with gangs and small groups of bandits, proving herself not only sneaky, but as a charming young woman also capable of feigning innocence when she had to. Her skillset was varied, making her a prime fit for many jobs and ensuring she had plenty of coin; enough to rent out a ramshackle inn room and afford good weapons and clothes for herself, not to mention food. Still, she wanted nothing more than to return to her life of luxury, not to mention lash out at the government so self-righteous it deemed her god invalid and her parents killed for venerating him.
Once she had clout and connections in the underworld, she began to plot revolution. At only twenty-one, she sought to undo the Mitran regime, avenge her parents, and seize power and wealth in the chaos. Not to mention pay her dear, selfish uncle a visit and reward his treachery with the end of her blade. What she hoped to accomplish with teenaged street children and petty bandits was lost to youthful impatience and a lack of wisdom, but she learned quickly that she had not earned the fearful respect of petty thieves, and in a bid to save himself from prison after being caught picking pockets, one ratted her out to save his own hide. Before it had even begun, her revolution was over, and she was shipped off to Branderscar to be executed for her crime.
Personality: Normally, she is very arrogant and sarcastic, owing to her aristocratic upbringing; years of poverty and petty theft haven't worn the brat out of her, and she still believes the world is owed to her. She's cunning, opportunistic, and ruthless, seizing opportunities when she sees them and keeping those she thinks have a use around her at all times. She's charismatic and skilled enough at manipulation that when a situation calls for it, she can seem like a completely different person, keeping up whatever appearances she needs to in order to get what she wants. Full-on living a lie is difficult, so her companions are likely to get the real, bitter her.
Description: Not entirely sure yet, going to have to look at some avatars and find something that fits her first.
Potential goals/hooks: Luna doesn't want to be queen since it's too much work, but does want power and riches out of any regime she supports, taking some lesser position as nobility perhaps. Reclaiming her family company or even ending up as something akin to a crime boss would also work fine; anything to give her a lavish, expensive lifestyle once again. Also important to her are revenge, exacted upon both the people who arrested and executed her parents, and on the uncle who sold his brother out in exchange for the company. On a much lesser scale, finding out who sold her out personally and ensuring he regrets his decision.
Edit: I notice your response to Cole said that it'd be fine just as long as he didn't post ten characters, but I can't find a question of his; are you allowing people to submit more than one character? Not sure if I'm reading it correctly, being 2 AM and all, but I might try to find something for my Dragon Disciple and submit her too if that's the case.

GM Blade of Heaven |

Seranov, it does not count as being extra, because it does not originate from one of their heads. I've always viewed Devastating Blast as one of those 'blasts energy from an outstretched hand' sort of thing. And the Graveknight template will not be taking up ANY levels, because everyone will be receiving either a commensurate template or else some boon of equal power. As for your other question, yes and yes. Flavorwise, heavy armor is typical Graveknight fare, but light armor is permissible.
HighonHolyWater, ah, my mistake!
Nidoran, no point in taking the vampire feats, because at some point your character can gain a free template or commensurately powerful boon!

![]() |

Okay, neat. That's totally fine. Now, normally Graveknights are required to be bound to heavy armor, but who's to say that has to be true for everybody? You! That's who. ;)
Here's my concept on a light armor Astral suit, adapted from a suggestion on the DSP forums.
When formed into an astral hauberk, an astral suit resembles masterwork studded leather and is treated as such for all mechanical purposes. Should the aegis be wearing armor when forming his astral suit in this fashion, the astral suit encloses the armor and the aegis gains the benefits of only his astral suit and not that from his armor, even if his armor would confer better benefits. Forming an astral suit into this form takes a move action. The aegis gains the following free customizations: Crystallized Weapon and Nimble. At 2nd level, the aegis gains the Spoked Carapace Customization as a free customization when the astral suit is in astral hauberk form. At 5th level, the astral suit resembles and is treated as a mithral shirt for all mechanical purposes.
One last question I forgot: When I take my first Warder level, will it be okay to swap out the Broken Blade discipline for Black Seraph discipline? It will suit the character much better.

Dragonflyer1243 |

Here's my submission, I'm following what seems to be the standard format here, so here goes!
Name:Norac Rikefellow.
Race:Human
Class:Eldritch Scion Magus/Swashbuckler
Party Role:Melee Frontline/Utility Arcane Casting
Alignment:Neutral Evil
Deity:Zaebos
Crime:Heresy
Backstory: As the son of a rich merchant, Norac had all the pleasures of society to entertain him, at the wave of his hand. His father, who was often away on business, gave him access to considerable funds to suit his pleasures. More out of spite than anything else, Norac bought a massive library of books on Hell and anything Infernal, to anger his devout father. Never much of a reader, he mostly ignored the library until one day his father heard of an incident in town, Norac had been found attacking an 'insolent' boy with a stick, and began to scold him. Norac ran off, into the only place nobody would think to look for him, the library. Intent upon avoiding his father, he stayed there for hours, and in sheer boredom pulled a book from the shelf, opening it in the middle and scanning the page. By luck, fate, or perhaps divine(unholy) influence, the first words he saw were those describing Zaebos' views and religion, and they struck a chord within his darkened heart. He stayed in the library, studying the doctrines of the Infernal Dukes, before choosing Zaebos as his favorite. Over the next few months, he began to expand his library, and started to conduct his own rituals, harnessing a small quantity of innate power within himself that he had never known he had. Just a few days after he had been able to successfully channel that power into a spell, the door to his library was knocked in, and soldiers rushed into the room, grabbing him by the arms and throwing him to the ground. As he watched, his books were torn apart and burned, while his threats were disregarded.
As he was dragged from the room, he caught a glimpse of his father standing behind the soldiers, speaking to the one who seemed to be in charge. In that instant, Norac came to the conclusion that his father, the only person who had ever loved him despite his many flaws, had turned him in to the soldiers. As he reached this conclusion, he threw himself towards his father, straining against his captors to reach his betrayer, and was clubbed into unconsciousness by the surrounding guards. Now he waits in Talingarde Prison, taking any opportunity to loudly blaspheme against Mitra whenever a guard walks by, taking a petty joy in their anger, and knowing that they will pay him back tenfold on the day of his execution.
Personality:Norac is arrogant and condescending, as well as an overall bad man. Confident in his superiority over those around him, he presumes incompetence in everyone and only does things when he feels that nobody else would get it right. He, in keeping with his deity, is driven mostly by selfishness, and Norac always does what is best for him in the long term.
Possible Future Goals/hooks:Norac would like to see his claims of being descended from a devil be recognized, and to use those powers to destroy those who have dared to threaten him with death. Once he has gained sufficient power, he intends to take on any obstacle necessary to become an Infernal Duke. This is just to explain his long-term goals, I obviously have no expectations as to this really happening.

Might have ninja'd that edit in on you, so I don't know if you saw the bit about switching out disciplines, but in retrospect, we can worry about that IF I get picked AND I survive to level two. ;)
Of course, now that I think about it, I have ANOTHER question! Do we get the bonus +2 skill points/level, as the player's guide suggests, or do you figure you are already being WAY too generous with your character creation rules? ;)
Now, all that out of the way, I have completed an alias profile for Mek and Rek, too! The Brothers, Mek and Rek - Two-Headed Oggr Aegis

Nidoran Duran |

Alright then, here's Ariana Ddraig (nee Khail), my other submission.
Name: Ariana Ddraig
[b]Race: Human Female
Class: Dragon Bloodline Sorceror/Antipaladin of Asmodeus, with the Sorceror half going into Dragon Disciple when available.
Party Role: Gish to the max. With full BAB and the strength boosts from DD she'll be specced out to wreak havoc with two-handed weapons just fine. Spell selection will be a mix of buffs and blasty spells, with fire being the obvious element given the Gold Dragon bloodline, but with some backup elements just in case. With the Eldritch Heritage feat tree, she'll be dipping into Arcane via her mother for some more spellcasting emphasis.
Alignment: LE (see below)
Crime: Consorting with Dark Powers (Witchcraft)
Background:
It was fortunate she went to her father in concern, and not to anyone else with the information. Her parents were both worshippers of Asmodeus, going back many generations on both sides. Their practice became hidden as Talingarde became a much more fanatically Mitran kingdom, eventually not even continuing their worship in practice when she was born, out of the fear they would be discovered and their newborn put to death. In the two decades since, their faith had waned heavily, and neither really held any passion or devotion left for the Dark Prince, and forbade their daughter from ever following in their footsteps or asking questions.
He also warned her about her heritage; there was a reason her father never developped his magic very far, and it was for fear of his lineage. Their family line held some kind of draconic affair many generations prior, and those who fully embraced magic found themselves at risk of coming upon it. Her great grandfather became a hermit after he pushed himself to the degree where his flesh began to turn to scales. He told her to slow down her rapid pace of discovery and experimentation, lest it draw eyes and fear.
She couldn't not heed their warnings for even a week. She tried as subtly as she could to find information about Asmodeus, all of it Mitran propaganda, distorting and lying about the things she had read in her father's book. If the Mitrans were supressing the worship of other gods, they may have also been hiding away other things. Knowledge that was a threat or affront to them. Magic, perhaps. She'd already come into her gifts by then, working tirelessly to hone her magic in hopes of finding a tutor who could help her exceed what her parents had accomplished, and the thought of knowledge and magic that the Mitrans kept hidden slowly became an obssession for her.
But nobody would teach her if she began to sprout scales. She'd already begun to grow claws for short periods every day, and she knew it would only worsen from there. No reputable mage would indulge her curiosities. So instead she turned to devils. Lowly devils, who couldn't sate her thirst for knowledge, but she was still a fledging mage, and feared what would happen if she tried to summon something beyond her abilities.
Leaving home, both because of the restrictions of her parents on the advancement of her craft and fear for the consequences of a open devil worshipper growing scales upon her family, she continued to chase knowledge. In secret, she had taken with her the book about Asmodeus, keeping it private as she worshipped and continued along her path. She took on the assumed surname Ddraig, both as embrace of her heritage, and to ensure her family cold not be held responsible for her actions. Like her father, she offered spells for coin, but at night, she sought the means by which to begin undoing the Mitran control of Talingarde. Looking for evidence of others who still revered Asmodeus, or even just revolutionaries whose cause she could feign support for if it meant furthering her own goals. Petty criminals mostly, but she would have to make do with what she had.
But as she grew stronger, she realized that her draconic heritage wasn't what she'd expected. Rather than bearing proud scales of a fearsome chromatic dragon, her physical transformation brought gold. It was a delicious irony to her, a legacy of Asmodean worship bearing the blood of the noble metallic dragons, and she longed for the day she could lord such righteous heritage over her victims. Eventually, her prayers were answered, and the studious mage found herself bearing the beginnings of profane power. Hoping that abilities bestowed upon her by the Prince of Darkness himself was a sign, she prepared a ritual to invoke a devil, bind it to her will, and seek guidance and secrets from it.
It didn't work as intended, and somehow, she was compromised. Perhaps she had been too overt about the spell compnents and ritual items when she purchased them. Whatever it was, it led Sir Balin to her, and though she had grown fearsome with a blade, she stood no chance against the witch hunter. She was taken prisoner and carried off to Branderscar, screaming oaths of revenge. She never gave up her family name.
Personality: Ariana is ambitious and self-absorbed. She belives herself the future of magic, and her comfortable upper middle class upbringing has given her airs of nobility she doesn't have. Between her upbringing and adherence to Asmodeus's teachings, she is selfish and insufferably proud, as well as being snide, sarcastic, and more than willing to taunt or insult when the 'need' arises. But there is rage beneath her cool exterior, intense fury rising up whenever she is proven inferior to another, or gravely insulted.
Description: Likely to change over time; again, need to find a "right" avatar to base her off of. But in general, I'd like to see her grow more and more outwardly draconic as she advances her bloodline powers.
Potential goals/hooks: Ariana's main driving force is the furthering of magic and knowledge. In her eyes, Talingarde is too self-righteous and "pure" to embrace darker elements or tap into the wealth of knowledge that devils possess. She wishes to eventually become the standard of magical ability to which others aspire to be, and by chasing development of her own powers she could further the advance the field of arcane studies. To that respect, she wishes to overthrow Talingarde for several reasons, none of them entirely personal. As a worshipper of Asmodeus it certainly a duty in her eyes to topple the Mitrans and build a new society in reverence of the Dark Prince. But she doesn't see herself as being queen of this new kingdom, as ruling is not where her ambition lies. Her true goal is to establish a magical academy that embraces any and all means of studying magic, no matter the cost. She would be the head, of course; just because she doesn't have ambitions of being a monarch doesn't mean power in this kingdom she wishes to help create isn't something she will seize regardless of whether it leaves bodies at her feet.
In terms of proper hooks, there is of course her family, whom she cares deeply for and wants to make a world where they can return to their old faith. There's also her desire for strengthening her arcane powers; I imagine she could be strung along into pretty much anything with that promise.
I noted her as Lawful Evil on the application because I'm wondering if you'd be willing to accept the book's reccomendation to allow for LE Antipaladins. It doesn't make much sense that Asmodeus would be granting power to agents of chaos who are likely to undermine his rules just as much.

GM Blade of Heaven |

ATTENTION EVERYONE! I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT, IF YOU ARE STRAPPED FOR FEATS AND DO NOT MIND A BIT OF EXTRA RP, YOU CAN TAKE AN OLD 3.X FLAW AND GET A FREE FEAT! YOU MAY ONLY TAKE UP TO 2, BUT YOU MUST ASK IF YOU MAY USE THE FLAW FIRST AND IF YOU TAKE 2, THE PENALTY FOR ONE OF THE NUMERIC VALUES IS DOUBLED! A LIST OF SAMPLE FLAWS CAN BE FOUND FLAWS!
Seranov, you may definitely swap out Broken Blade for Black Seraph! Due to the flavor of the Discipline, I thought it would have been open for ALL of the Path of War classes!
Nidoran, I allow for Antipaladins of ANY evil alignment! I have rules for each!

![]() |

So, I've come to a tiny stumbling block. The intention for this character was to dual-wield scimitars or some other kind of sword, but all the Dervish Defender abilities specify weapons in the Close, Light Blades and Double Weapon groups. If I take Weapon Group Adaption (heavy blades) will this let me sneak in what I want? :3

Seven.teen |

The wench pouts slightly then sniffs and examining her perfectly painted red nails. She then looks directly at you, and gasps in faux horrt "I'm sorry officer, I had no idea so many got hurt! I just can't help myself, riots are so beautiful. The shouts and screams are like music and the pretty patterns the blood makes in the water are so distracting... Whatever can I do to make you forgive me?"
Concept would be a female Sorcerer (fey bloodline) / Bard, spy, seductress and riot inciter extraordinaire. She would possibly be Human or maybe Kitsune with a focus on compulsion and summons (including pits).
There's a lot of potentially rather amusing spells and abilities such a character would have: Unnatural Lust sow-thought Reckless infatuation Spellsong The dance of the kindled desires
I think her goal in life would be to make at least one Paladin fall (in love with her), just because.

![]() |

"A fellow bard, eh? We will make beautiful music together, ma cherie" he says bowing to kiss her hand, his eyes glowing with eldritch power.
kitsune: bard (arcane duelist)/warlock, he's brimming with arcane power but has little patience or finesse, by comparison to wizards, so he doesn't make the most of it, but he can keep hammering down with his eldritch blast all day and then some

GM Blade of Heaven |

Cedric, you mean ANTIpaladin? A Paladin will probably not last beyond, say, the first few rounds before it is torn apart by its compatriots! :P
Dragonflyer1234, yes, you may take Pathetic as a flaw.
Ashe, yes, Shaky is fine.
Seven.teen, I was confused for a moment when I read your profile for fluff. I realize now it's for another game!
Elara, indeed it did!
Seranov, I will allow that with the weapons. And I like the logic on your character!

Ok, more thought on my submission. Not sure about drawbacks and flaws, will have to think about them.
Name: Tykath
Female Human (most likely)
Swashbuckler (maybe Inspired Blade)/Cleric(Evangelist)(Darkness Domain)
--> worshipper of Zon-Kuthon
--> eventually would be interested in the Shadow Lord template if that can be worked in. It is not an undead template, but this could be an option.
--> also interested in the Torturer class, but do not have this. GM BoH, if you could post/PM a link, I would be interested in looking at it.
--> most likely will fight with a rapier, but if using a Spiked Chain with the swashbuckler abilities is a possibility, then will take this as the spiked chain is finesseable and a piercing weapon. However, it is a two handed weapon and most swashbuckler abilities require light/one handed weapons. Possibly modify the Inspired Blade archetype by swapping spiked chain for rapier?
Tykath bit her lip as she watched the prow of the Talingarde naval vessel approach, enjoying the taste of her blood. With the destroyed mast, there was no hope of fleeing, not like the skilled captain had done many times before. She looked back and saw the wounded and despondent sailors behind her. None even had the energy to raise a weapon. Three days the trio of naval vessels had followed the ship she was on. Four had started, but the pirate crew had disabled the fourth two days earlier. Now, exhausted after the chase, with the mast finally destroyed, the pirate crew clearly knew their fate. Even her ability to rally the crew would not help any longer.
Oh, when the boarding party arrived, they would not enjoy what they found. Several hours earlier, then things would have been different, but no, Tykath had enjoyed the screams as she had tortured the prisoners, one by one. Now, none were left to be rescued. None unless a skilled priest was on one of the ships. Tykath knew her fate. The other pirates might get long prison sentences or hard labor, but not her. She would be sent to the infamous Branderscar where she would assuredly be put to death. She only hoped that she would be found guilty of piracy rather than murder, kidnapping or slave taking. Those three resulted in a quick painless beheading. No, she wished for piracy with its much more pleasurable and longer lasting death by hanging.
As the boats met and the trained naval boarders jumped on board, Tykath spoke a prayer to the Midnight Lord, asking that her death be as long and painful as possible. She then turned and raised her spiked chain. She knew that she would be overwhelmed quickly, but at least she would leave a few nice deep wounds before it was over.
-------
Now, nearly two weeks later as she smiled feeling every bump and stone in the road as the dark covered wagon rolled to the prison, she reflected on how she had come to be here. It had begun not too many years earlier. Her parents had been residents of Westcrown and devoted followers of the First. She had been brought up adhering to the doctrines of Asmodeus, but had soon learned of the Midnight Lord. When her parents had turned up dead one day, Tykath realized that it was time leave Cheliax. Several weeks of hiding in shadows had finally brought her to Nidal where she soon joined a cult devoted to Zon-Kuthon. While she took great pleasure in the worship of the Midnight Lord, this in and of itself, did not pay for her to live. Thus it was, that she soon signed on as a hand on a galleon plying the waters of Conqueror’s Bay.
Now, life of a sailor is good and fine, but truly did not cater to her dark desires. So, she soon had moved from sailing with merchant vessels to signing on with a crew more interested in making a living off of other ships. The first vessel was interested in quick grab and run tactics. Tykath became skilled with the rapier in these fights, and was soon a vital part of most boarding parties. However, even this quickly grew old for the young woman with a rather twisted sense of values.
Shortly after her twenty fourth birthday, Tykath joined with a ship with a darker intent. Her former crew mates sought to dissuade her from joining the crew of the Yellow Cross, but the rumors of this ship was something that she could not resist. For the Yellow Cross was one of the few pirate ships more interested in taking prisoners, and then selling them to willing buyers, than in just grabbing cargo.
Tykath had sailed with the crew of the Yellow Cross for three years raiding the coasts of Varisia, Osirian, and other lands. The “cargo” would then be sold to willing buyers in Cheliax, Katapesh, and other nations that condoned the trade in flesh. However, while Tykath was a valued member of the crew in raiding ships and taking live cargo, it was her ability, and willingness, to gain information from those taken prisoner which the ship’s captain truly valued. There was nothing that was sacred to Tykath, and for this reason, she was frequently used to question prisoners regarding their backgrounds, and valuables. After all, some are worth more for ransom than on the slave blocks.
It was six months ago that the Yellow Cross made its first raid on the shores of Talingarde. And, the pickings were more than easy with the land being so devoted to good. Women, children, and fathers, all ripe for the picking with willing buyers in her former home town of Westcrown as well as other Chelaxian cities. Unfortunately, either the captain had become careless, or the Talingarde Navy was more skilled than expected, for on the most recent expedition, they had suddenly appeared in front of, and behind the Yellow Cross. The pirates and slavers had fought valiantly, but one against four is rarely a recipe for victory.
This is just a basic build at this point. Please let me know what else, if anything, is needed for the application.

Some more details...
Name: Alara
Race: Kitsune
Class: Sorcerer(Fey)/Bard
Party Role: Buffing / Crowd Control
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Deity: Not sure which one fits
Crime: Inciting a riot
Backstory: Alara didn't intend to be evil, nor did she intend to fall in lust with a member of the guard called Marek. Despite the repeated warnings of her folk, she found herself infatuated with him like a moth to a flame. For Marek was everything she would never be, strong, courageous, honest, and righteous. On an off for months they had been courting but it was never meant to be. On her eighteenth birthday, Marek took his final paladin vows and the gods granted him the ability to see her true nature. Alara hadn't fallen into darkness at this stage and perhaps Marek might have saved her but he was the sort that sees the world in black and white and he rejected her utterly. Stung by this, she sought revenge and abusing her growing skills in manipulation to convince a crowd that Marek was secretly in league with Ugothra and had poisoned the town's grain. This triggered a riot where a mob tried to lynch Marek and many people got hurt, some seriously. Alara was dumbstruk by the town's overreaction and was caught laughing hysterically by a vigilant member of the watch.
Personality: On the surface charming and affable, ruthless and vindictive underneath.
Possible Future Goals/hooks: Alara wants to be loved, but she's choosy. It has to be a paladin, and he has to fall for her (literally and figuratively).

Ok, folks who were interested in looking at all those crazy options for Psychopaths, Torturers, and Antipaladins, look in this page, under Tome of Wicked Things, Redux. Bear in mind that these files have been set-up as read-only so that sticky issues like copyright do not rear their heads, so you may wish to bookmark the page if you intend to reference it. Of course, I highly recommend actually purchasing the book if you use the material, because LRGG makes great stuff and could use the support!
Ashe, selections will be made on Sunday, time of which is more than likely going to be after noon, East Coast USA time (Can never remember the proper name for this time zone, it seems,).
Mwiba Kichaka, I love the reference! Also, something being marked red in a ledger is symbolic. Check out what I mean via Google lol.

Interesting. I like the torturer, but it really does not seem to fit with my character. Oddly enough, Torture is not even a sub-domain for Zon-Kuthon.
Still playing around with builds. Pretty sure about the Swashbuckler, but can't find a cleric/anti-paladin/oracle/shaman/inquisitor archetype that I really like. Currently set on cleric(evangelist), but may switch depending on how I eventually decide.

Yes! Thank you so much for sharing that. I really like the Psychopath as my second class. So I'll be a Swashbuckler/Psychopath then. It's really the class that I was trying to make a Slayer into. I should have revised fluff up later tonight. Just imagine Dexter Morgan and the Captian Hook from Once Upon A Time (if you haven't seen either of those tv shows then that probably made no sense). Just think: Classy yet terrifying.

Elara Myre |

Pretty sure that the second class, and probably the Gestalt class, will be either a cleric(evanglist), or Inquisitor(Sanctified Slayer/Infiltrator). Either way, it will be the Darkness(night) domain.
I think one of their players (Jaq) is an Inquisitor (Infiltrator). Not that there can't be two players with the same class, but...y'know. Something to consider.
While I'm here, I figure I may as well mention that I'm really leaning towards fetchling for Elara now (going to change her surname). I feel like no one ever plays 'em, and one would be perfect for an assassin-type character. Much more flavorful for a dusk dweller to emerge from the shadows to eliminate an enemy than a half-elf. She'll also probably go with the Slayer Deliverer archetype over Executioner. I'm still planning to take on an assassin/skill monkey type role.
