Ranged attacks and wind

Rules Questions

I was looking at the Fly skill and the table that deals with creatures being Checked or Blown Away based on high wind conditions.

If there a rule about ranged weapons in these conditions? Seems like shooting a bow in 60 mph winds would have some kind of penalty associated with it but I can't find a hard rule about this.

Thanks!

There are general rules for these kinds of situations in the Environment section way down under Weather (generally in the form of penalties to hit). There are also specific rules contained in some spell descriptions (Wall of Wind for example).

That was EXACTLY what I was looking for, didn't know it was there! Thank you!

I don't see anything in there about things like Spells or Breath Weapons being affected by the high winds. Does that fall under the category of "magical effects aren't subject to regular physics" or do folks use house rules for those situations?

As a GM, I'd say that it's situation-dependent. All-gas breath weapons might be driven away by wind entirely, all-fire ones might have a +2 to the save against them in a rainy or misty conditions, lightning ones might be totally unaffected. It depends on the spell, the weather, and the amount of wind. A fog cloud might be moved by a breeze, or shredded by a high wind (lower duration), or just completely blown away in a gale and never have any effect.
